If a request is received by an organisation which would also cover another organisation’s information they should promptly inform, and request the views of, the other organisation prior to release of the information. Each organisation should do this within the statutory timescales. Should a response not be received from a partner organisation – i.e. any relevant information that is accessible to but not used by the recipient partner will not be disclosed; instead the requestor will be notified that further relevant information may be requested from the partner organisation (who can ensure appropriate disclosure of the information).
