Make-Up Day. Should the Contractor be unable to work forty (40) hours in any workweek due to weather or other conditions over which the Contractor has no control, the Contractor may, to the extent permitted by the applicable collective bargaining agreement, schedule a make- up day (Saturday for 5/8 schedule; Friday for 4/10 schedule). All hours worked on a make-up to complete the forty (40) hours for the standard workweek shall be paid at the straight time rate of pay, if permitted by the State prevailed wage requirements. Any hours in excess of the standard workweek worked on Saturday shall be paid at time and one-half the straight time rate of pay. For make- up day work, the full crew must be scheduled. The make-up day may not be utilized on an individual employee basis or to make up holidays. Make-up days are voluntary and should a crew member decline the make-up day work, the Contractor may select a member of another crew as a replacement, or allow the crew to work without the regular crew member. All make-up day work will be scheduled for a full work day. All overtime shall be in compliance with applicable State and Federal prevailed wage requirements.

Make-Up Day. The Employer shall be allowed to work a make-up day under the following conditions:
Make-Up Day. A make-up day may be used Monday thru Saturday when due to no fault of the Contractor and mutually agreed upon between the EMPLOYER and District Council 21. Wages will be paid at straight time rate. Prior notice must be given to District Council 21.
Make-Up Day. (a) Saturday will be considered the make-up day on eight (8) hour shifts and will be paid straight time if the Employee has not worked a forty (40) hour week prior to Saturday. Friday will be considered the make-up day on ten (10) hour shifts and will be paid straight time if the Employee has not worked a forty (40) hour week prior to Friday. If the Employee provides the Employer with written notice twenty-four (24) hours prior to a make-up day that he does not want to work the make-up day, then the Employee will not be penalized for not working the make- up day. Saturday will not be considered a straight time make up day on a four (4) day, ten (10) hour schedule. It is expressly understood that an Employee will not be punished for not working on a Saturday.
Make-Up Day. In addition, the regularly scheduled workweek, for those officers not assigned to a four (4) day per week, ten (10) hour per day patrol shift, shall include one (1) ten (10) hour shift per month (“the make-up day”). The following provisions apply with respect to the assignment of the make-up day:

Make-Up Day. Make-Up Day: Saturday, or in the case of a four ten (4-10) work week, Friday, may be used as a make- up-day and worked at the straight time rate of pay during a work-week when conditions beyond the employer’s control, such as weather, power failure, fire or natural disaster prevent the performance of work on a regularly scheduled work day.
Make-Up Day. (a) An employee who does not have forty (40) hours worked during the Monday through Friday work week due to inclement weather shall have the option of working Saturday at the straight time rate of pay on exterior work only. In assigning Saturday work, crew members working on a particular job the previous workday shall have a right of first refusal regarding work performed on that job. In the event a crew member refuses to work on Saturday, another employee may be used in his place, provided that the employee has also less than forty (40) hours worked. The number of workers performing the Saturday work shall not be greater than the number that worked on the particular job on the previous workday. The employer will notify employees on Friday if there will be work the following day. Any disputes arising under this Section shall be submitted to the Joint Labor Management Committee for hearing and determination.
