EMPLOYER’S SERVICE INFORMATION. 1 Description of the service The contractor to provide skilled and suitable qualified personnel with experience and knowledge in the procurement discipline for Xxxxx Power Station for a period of 36 months as per the numbers and designations provided by the Service Manager. The Procurement Management Services will be carried out according to Eskom’s Processes, Policies & Procedures and Works Instruction as well as adherence to the Occupational Health And Safety Act (OSH Act). Xxxxx Power Station is required to be reliable and available base load electricity provider to the South Africa grid. The Kriel Procurement department is one of the essential, critical and core departments or functions at Xxxxx Power Station. The procurement department is responsible for all the procurement activities within the station, thus the absence of procurement could render Kriel redundant. The Procurement Department renders a service to the following core departments within Xxxxx Power Station:  Project Departments  Outage ManagementMaintenance ManagementOperating DepartmentEngineering Department  Stores (Materials Management) Contracts and orders are required to be compiled, checked, submitted, evaluated and processed at the Procurement department on a continuous basis to ensure the Power Station deliver the required electricity supply to the country. Any backlog will result in contracts and work/services not being done resulting in the increase of unavailability of the power plant and shortage of electricity supply. EMPLOYER’S SERVICE INFORMATION. Description of the service Executive overview In order for Eskom Aviation to still fulfil its strategic mandate of providing a reliable Fixed Wing service, it is essential that a contract be established with a pool of service providers in Gauteng to ensure that a high probability exists of securing an aircraft upon request and that a competitive rate is obtained. Employer’s requirements for the service Provision of an enabling contract for ad hoc fixed wing aircraft (King Air 200) charter (wet lease) on an as and when required basis with Eskom Aviation over a 60 (sixty) months period. Invoicing and payment Within one week of receiving a payment certificate from the Service Manager in terms of core clause 51.1, the Contractor provides the Employer with a tax invoice showing the amount due for payment equal to that stated in the Service Manager’s payment certificate.
