Discretionary Day. Employees who have worked for the school district for at least one calendar year are eligible for a discretionary day. Upon application to and approval by their supervisor, eligible employees may take one (1) full day with pay (prorated for part time) in each calendar year.

Discretionary Day. 1. Except for adult education teachers, teachers shall be granted one (1) discretionary leave day each school year with pay. These days are non-cumulative.
Discretionary Day. All regular employees who have completed twenty-six (26) weeks of continuous employment shall be entitled to one (1) paid discretionary day per year. Discretionary days are to be taken as one whole day. Employees shall endeavour to provide seven (7) working days advance notice to the employer prior to taking their discretionary day. Approval is subject to operational needs and shall not be unreasonably denied. Discretionary days must be used by the end of the school year (June 30th). Unused days cannot be carried over and shall be paid out to the employee. For ten month employees, unused days shall be paid out no later than October 31st of the following school year. For twelve month employees, unused days shall be paid out no later than August 30th of each year.
Discretionary Day. A full day off with pay to be used at the employee’s discretion.
Discretionary Day. ‌ One paid discretionary day per fiscal year shall be granted to all employees of this bargaining unit who have successfully completed the first 120 days of their probationary period. The employee is required to give one (1) day notice prior to taking the Discretionary Day.
Discretionary Day serves the equivalent of a “Comp. Day” in that the teacher may schedule a non-duty day on which the teacher is absent, but for which the teacher will receive full pay and which shall not be reported as an absence.

If the discretionary day is not utilized by the end of the school year, it shall not be carried over to the next school year. The request for use of the discretionary day, whenever possible, shall be made in advance on the form available at the International Academy. Scheduling of the discretionary day shall be on a first-come, first-served basis and be approved by the principal, with no more than ten percent (10%) of the staff allowed on any one day. The scheduling of the discretionary day shall occur no later than April 15 of each school year. Should circumstances warrant, exceptions to the above may be made by the principal.

  • Discretionary Leave 7.7.1 The employer may, where there are special circumstances, xxxxx discretionary leave with or without pay to any principal during periods when the school is officially open for instruction, provided that such leave does not unreasonably impinge upon the operational requirements of the school.   • Annual Discretionary Bonus Effective as of the Effective Date, the Executive will be eligible to earn an annual performance bonus of up to 40% of the Executive’s Base Salary (the “Target Bonus”), based upon the Board’s assessment of the Executive’s performance and the Company’s attainment of targeted goals as set by the Board in its sole discretion. To the extent the Executive’s Base Salary and/or target bonus percentage of Base Salary is changed during the year to which the performance bonus relates, the Target Bonus shall be calculated based on base salary actually paid during such year (and not solely on the Executive’s Base Salary at the end of such year) and shall apply the initial target bonus percentage of Base Salary and the revised target bonus percentage of Base Salary based on the portion of the year during which each was in effect. The Board may determine to provide the bonus in the form of cash, equity award(s), or a combination of cash and equity. Following the close of each calendar year, the Board will determine whether the Executive has earned a performance bonus, and the amount of any performance bonus, based on the set criteria. No amount of the annual bonus is guaranteed, and the Executive must be an employee in good standing on the date of payment in order to be eligible for any annual bonus, except as specifically set forth below. The annual performance bonus, if earned, will be paid by no later than March 15 of the calendar year after the year to which it relates. The Executive’s bonus eligibility will be reviewed on an annual or more frequent basis by the Board and is subject to change in the discretion of the Board.

  • Discretionary Bonus The Executive shall be entitled to participate in an equitable manner with all other senior management employees of the Bank in discretionary bonuses that may be authorized and declared by the Board of Directors to its senior management executives from time to time. No other compensation provided for in this Agreement shall be deemed a substitute for the Executive's right to participate in such discretionary bonuses when and as declared by the Board.
