ADULT EDUCATION TEACHERS. The nonreemployment provisions of the Teacher Due Process Act of 1990 do not apply to adult education teachers. Accordingly, adult education teachers are not covered by the protections of this policy and, unless otherwise required by law, are subject to a reduction in force without notice and without compliance with this policy.
ADULT EDUCATION TEACHERS. 6.5.1 Adult Education positions are open and competitive course by course and/or session by session.
ADULT EDUCATION TEACHERS. For the purposes of this Agreement, the Board shall maintain a separate seniority list for adult education teachers.
ADULT EDUCATION TEACHERS i. This clause shall not be applicable to adult education teachers who are laid off prior to September 30, 2004.
ADULT EDUCATION TEACHERS. (1) The Board shall pay one hundred percent (100 %) of Dental Plan premium costs for each Adult Education teacher with a 0.5 FTE (500 hours) contract or greater.

ADULT EDUCATION TEACHERS. 14.1 Adult Education teachers who are members of the unit shall be covered by all the Articles of the Agreement except the following:
ADULT EDUCATION TEACHERS. 15.2 Upon initial employment and upon each change in classification thereafter, each employee shall be furnished two (2) copies of his or her class specifications, salary date, assignment or work location, together with duty hours and the prescribed work week.
ADULT EDUCATION TEACHERS. Adult Education Teachers shall be covered by all provisions of the agreement, with the specific modifications that follow:
ADULT EDUCATION TEACHERS. Adult Education teachers shall not supplant bargaining unit members. If a bargaining unit member is laid off from any teaching assignment, then he/she has the right, in order of seniority and certification, to displace an adult education teacher, unless it is ultimately determined by either the Michigan Teacher Tenure Commission or a court of competent jurisdiction that such displacement violates the rights of the existing adult education teacher. LETTER OF AGREEMENT #5 (2011-2014 contract) CLASSROOM OBSERVATION The purpose of the classroom observation is to assess the rate of implementation of the curriculum and instructional practices, and to provide a direct opportunity to observe staff and to determine the resource needs of staff. Walk-throughs will be considered classroom observations.
