Discretionary Leave Day a) Effective July 1, 2002, each employee, except employees covered by the Winnipeg Teachers’ Association Collective Agreement, shall be entitled to one (1) day paid discretionary leave in each vacation year based on the employee’s regularly scheduled daily hours of work.

Discretionary Leave Day. 45.7 All full-time and part-time Employees who have completed at least 12 months continuous service with a Catholic School will be entitled to a Discretionary Leave Day.
Discretionary Leave Day. Effective 2007 fiscal year (Jan. to Dec.), employees who have completed their probationary period are eligible to one (1) discretionary leave day with pay to be taken in the fiscal year at a mutually agreeable time. The discretionary day must be used within the calendar year and may not be carried over to the next year. Employees must request the discretionary leave day in advance, and it must be approved by their supervisor. In the event of termination of the employment relationship, employees who have not taken their discretionary leave day are not entitled to payment in lieu of such a day.
Discretionary Leave Day. 37.1 All full-time and part-time Teachers who have completed at least 12 months continuous service with a Catholic School will be entitled to a Discretionary Leave Day. 37.2 A Discretionary Leave Day is: a) One extra day of paid leave per year, additional to any other leave entitlements under this Agreement. b) Not cumulative and is not paid out on termination of employment. 37.3 Teacher’s must provide a minimum of four weeks’ notice when requesting to take a Discretionary Leave Day. 37.4 The taking of a Discretionary Leave Day is subject to the approval of the Employer considering the operational requirements of the Catholic School and this discretion is not to be harshly or unfairly exercised. This reflects partial agreement with an IEU claim of two days.

  • Discretionary Leave 7.7.1 The employer may, where there are special circumstances, xxxxx discretionary leave with or without pay to any principal during periods when the school is officially open for instruction, provided that such leave does not unreasonably impinge upon the operational requirements of the school. Before approving any discretionary leave, the employer shall ensure that the granting of such leave complies with any funding arrangements applying to the school in respect of such leave.

  • Annual Leave Accrual If an employee leaves State Classified employment and is later rehired, he/she shall accrue annual leave at the same rate as a new hire. However, once a rehired employee has been in pay status for five (5) years, all previous service time shall be credited for annual leave accrual. The only exception shall be for employees rehired who repay severance pay received.

  • Deferred Salary Leave Each employer ratifying this Agreement will establish or, as necessary, review and update a deferred salary leave plan consistent with Regulations issued by Canada Revenue Agency under the Income Tax Act. The parties may use the Application, Agreement, and Approval Form as a template (see Appendix H) for the deferred salary leave plan.

  • Sick Leave Payout No cash payment for unused sick leave will be paid to any employee leaving the service of the Employer.

  • Deferred Salary Leave Plan 1. The Board shall administer a Deferred Salary Leave Plan as determined by a separate agreement.

  • Plan Year The year for the purposes of the plan shall be from September 1 of one year, to August 31, of the following year, or such other years as the parties may agree to.

  • Accrual Rate of Sick Leave With Pay Credits Full-time employees shall accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave with pay credits for each full month worked. Employees who work less than the full month but at least thirty-two (32) hours during the month shall accrue sick leave with pay on a pro rata basis for the month.
