Definition of a Layoff. (a) Lay off shall be deemed to be a cessation of employment or a reduction in hours of work where such reduction eliminates or reduces an employee's coverage under health benefits.

Definition of a Layoff. The parties recognize that a layoff shall be defined as a reduction in hours greater than ten percent (10%) of an employee’s regularly scheduled hours per pay period and provided such reduction is greater than seven and one-half (7½) hours per pay period.
Definition of a Layoff. ‌ All layoffs shall be done in reverse order of seniority provided the employees remaining have the ability to properly perform the assigned duties.
