Qualifying Period. If a regular employee is promoted or transferred to a position, then that employee shall be considered a qualifying employee in her new position for a period of ninety (90) calendar days. If a regular employee is promoted or transferred to a position either within or outside the certification and is found to be unsatisfactory, she shall be returned to her previously held position. If a regular employee is promoted to a position, either within or outside the certification, and finds the position to be unsatisfactory, she shall be returned to her previously held position.

Qualifying Period. The qualifying period is defined as the period six calendar months from the starting date of the employee’s continuous absence due to disability; or a total of six months in accumulative authorized medical absences in the year prior to the date sick leave expires due to the same progressively deteriorating disability; or the expiration of sick leave whichever is longer.

An employee who requests to be relieved of a promotion, voluntary demotion, or transfer during the qualifying period in the new job shall return to the employee’s former job without loss of seniority or perquisites on the same basis as outlined in paragraph (2) of this Article.

Qualifying Period. An insured employee shall be eligible to receive an amount of Long Term Disability Benefit after fifty-two (52) weeks of benefit entitlement for the same disability under the Weekly Indemnity Plan. Benefit payment shall not commence during a strike until the termination of the strike.

Such an employee may return to their former job sooner under the terms of this section with the agreement of the Employer.
Qualifying Period. Entitlement to the monthly payment will commence on the day the twenty-six (26) week short term disability period expires.
