Benefits During Leave of Absence. 19.6.1 An employee who is on the Short-Term Disability Plan or the Long-Term Disability Plan will be considered to be on leave of absence for application of Article 19.6.2 and Articles 17.1 and 18.2.
Benefits During Leave of Absence. The Board shall continue to provide its share of the premium payments for the Medical and Extended Health Benefit Plan, the Dental Plan and the Group Life Insurance:
Benefits During Leave of Absence. An employee about to take leave of absence may continue those benefits under Articles B.11.2 and B.11.3 upon the Board receiving pre-payment of the total premium applicable during the leave of absence. Continuation of this arrangement for more than one (1) year is subject to annual review.

Where a teacher is on medical leave of absence, following the termination of sick leave, as outlined in Article G.21. of this agreement, the Board will continue to pay its share of the cost of premiums during the period the teacher is in receipt of BCTF Salary Indemnity Plan (Short Term) benefits and, where necessary, a further period of one calendar year where the teacher is in receipt of benefits from the BCTF Salary Indemnity Plan (Long Term) for each of the plans the teacher was a participant in at the time the absence began.
Benefits During Leave of Absence. 263 5.4.1 Unit Members on approved paid leaves of absence shall continue to 264 receive health, dental and vision insurance contribution in the same 265 manner as if the Unit Member had remained in regular service.
Benefits During Leave of Absence for Full-time Employees
Benefits During Leave of Absence. Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, a teacher on approved leave of absence shall be entitled, if otherwise eligible, to maintain participation in all benefits as provided in the Collective Agreement, provided the teacher pays the full cost of the benefits.
Benefits During Leave of Absence. An employee on unpaid status who wishes to maintain medical benefits is responsible for paying the entire premium cost of the employee’s his or her health insurance during an approved leave of absence. If an employee opts to drop insurance coverage during their leave, they will be subject to plan carriers’ policies for re-enrolling when their leave ends. TA 2.19.19
Benefits During Leave of Absence. Employees on unpaid leave of absence shall not be eligible for Board paid fringe benefits. Employees on unpaid leaves shall have the right to continue fringe benefits if they forward timely premium payments to the MISD. The MISD shall arrange premium payment procedure.
Benefits During Leave of Absence. Subject to the availability of medical and dental coverage through the District’s medical and dental plan provider, a unit member on an authorized unpaid leave of absence may, at the unit member’s sole expense, maintain his/her medical and dental plan coverage during the period of the leave. The unit member shall reimburse the District on a monthly basis for all medical/dental insurance premiums paid by the District on behalf of the unit member while on the unpaid leave of absence.
