Benefits During Leave. Employees are encouraged to contact the Employer’s Benefits Office (phone # 000-000-0000, xxxxxxxx@xx.xxx) prior to any leave without pay to understand impact on benefits and learn about other points to consider.
Benefits During Leave. An employee on a leave of absence who uses less than eight (8) hours of paid leave during a month is responsible for paying the entire premium cost (both the University and employee shares) of his or her health insurance during an approved leave of absence.
Benefits During Leave. (i) Employees returning to work from compassionate care leave retain any service credits accumulated prior to taking leave.

An employee on an unpaid leave of absence will not accrue any additional benefits during the duration of the leave but will not lose any benefits accrued when leave started, provided the employee is not employed elsewhere while on leave. In addition, the employee must return to work when scheduled. The Employer will continue coverage of medical insurance for any employee on an approved leave granted pursuant to the federal Family and Medical Leave Act. Any employee on leave for other reasons may continue coverage under the medical insurance plan but will be required to pay the appropriate monthly premium as determined by COBRA.

Employees who are granted a leave for their own disability may save and use up to thirty-two (32) hours of paid leave at a rate of eight (8) hours per month to remain eligible for paid health insurance.

Benefits During Leave. 22.06 Employees returning to work from compassionate care leave retain any service credits accumulated prior to taking leave.
Benefits During Leave. A nurse on an unpaid leave of absence will not continue to accrue benefits during that leave, but there shall be no loss of previously accrued benefits if the nurse returns to work as scheduled at the end of the allowed leave. To the extent allowed by the applicable insurance policy, a nurse desiring insurance benefits to continue during a leave of absence may do so by paying the full premium to the Employer monthly in advance unless otherwise provided by law for a family or medical leave.
Benefits During Leave. The Employer will continue to pay the Employer's portion of an employee's health insurance premiums for an eligible employee during the period the employee is on leave for any of the reasons under Subsections A(1)-(4) above. The employee shall be responsible to pay his/her portion, if applicable, of health insurance premiums during the period the employee is on leave for any of the reasons under Subsection A(1)-(4) above. If an employee's health insurance premium payment is more than 30 days late, the Employer upon 15 days notice to the employee may cease to continue the employee's health insurance coverage if the employee does not pay his/her portion of health insurance premium prior to the specified time. The Employer may recover the employee's share of any premium payments missed by the employee for any FMLA leave period during which the Employer maintains health coverage by paying the employee's share after the premium payment is missed. In all other circumstances, the Employer will not continue to pay health insurance premiums for an employee on an unpaid leave of absence. The employee may continue insurance coverage at his/her own expense during any unpaid leave of absence. The employee will not accumulate paid sick or annual leave nor be paid for holidays which may fall during the period of unpaid leave. If the employee fails to return after the leave has expired due to circumstances within the employee's control, the Employer may recover from the employee any premiums which the Employer paid to maintain medical coverage during the leave.
