Sick Leave and Vacation Leave. Sick leave and annual leave (vacation days) will be earned at the same rate as if they were working on a traditional schedule. If an employee utilizes one leave day for a 4-day work week day it will result in a 1.25 day reduction in accumulate leave. If an employee utilizes one-half leave day for a 4-day work week day it will result in a three-fourths day reduction in accumulate leave.

Sick Leave and Vacation Leave. If a leave of absence for a full-time employee (except as provided in Articles 15.1 and 15.3) exceeds thirty (30) calendar days, credits for vacation and sick leave will not be accumulated during the period of absence, and the increment date shall be set back accordingly. If a leave of absence is for less than thirty-one (31) calendar days, the increment date will not be affected and the employee will continue to accumulate sick and vacation credits in the normal fashion.
