Unpaid Holidays. Employees will be granted two (2) unpaid holidays per calendar year for a reason of faith or conscience or an organized activity conducted under the auspices of a religious denomination, church, or religious organization. The employee will select the days on which to take the unpaid holiday(s) after consultation with his or her supervisor as provided by City policy. To the extent reasonably possible, employees should submit leave requests with at least thirty (30) calendar days’ notice. Employees may elect to use accrued vacation leave, PTO, compensatory time or floating holidays to remain in paid status on a requested holiday to the extent that such leave is available on the requested date under applicable policies, procedures and/or collective bargaining agreements governing the use of paid leave. An unpaid holiday requested pursuant to City policy will not be denied unless the employee’s absence would impose an undue hardship on the City, as defined by applicable rule or regulation.
Unpaid Holidays. Holidays for Reasons of Faith and Conscience. Employees will be entitled to two (2) unpaid holidays per calendar year for faith or conscience as authorized by state law. Faith or conscience holidays will be governed by the University’s Holiday’s and Leave Policy. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the Friday before will be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be the holiday.

Unpaid Holidays. Employees Holidays celebrated under Section 2, shall be unpaid for employees who do not meet the eligibility requirements of Section 1; All other holidays or days on which the school system is closed shall be unpaid unless expressly provided elsewhere in this contract.
Unpaid Holidays. Probationary and status employees covered by this Agreement shall be excused from work without pay on the following holidays or days observed as such: New Year's Day January 1 Memorial Day as observed by Illinois law Independence Day July 4 Labor Day first Monday in September Thanksgiving Day fourth Thursday in November Christmas Day December 25 Employees shall be extended the option of charging any unpaid holiday above to accrued vacation.

Unpaid Holidays. Pursuant to RCW 1.16.050(3), an employee is entitled to two (2) unpaid holidays per calendar year for a reason of faith or conscience or an organized activity conducted under the auspices of a religious denomination, church, or religious organization. Leave will be provided in accordance with Washington law and the District’s personnel policy governing holidays. In the event the District’s policy conflicts with Washington law, then the minimum requirements of Washington law shall apply.
Unpaid Holidays. President’s Day. Any paid holiday which falls on a Sunday shall be observed as a holiday on the following Monday. Any paid holiday which falls on a Saturday shall be observed as a holiday on the preceding Friday.
