Common use of Unpaid Holidays Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Holidays. Probationary and status employees covered by this Agreement shall be excused from work without pay on the following holidays or days observed as such: New Year's Day January 1 Memorial Day as observed by Illinois law Independence Day July 4 Labor Day first Monday in September Thanksgiving Day fourth Thursday in November Christmas Day December 25 Employees shall be extended the option of charging any unpaid holiday above to accrued vacation.
