Sustainability and Scaling Up. The expected long-term impact of the REDD+ AP (30 years) is to promote a shift to a low-emission rural development pathway in Ecuador. This will require substantial public investments in the creation of public goods for which grants are required in the short term (2016-2021). A progressively diminishing level of investment will be required in the medium- term to consolidate the institutional and technological changes induced by the project. This level of investment will be maintained in the medium-term by accessing RBPs from REDD+ and channeling these resources towards the successful PAMs. In the long-term, some of the public investments will no longer be needed as markets for commodities and agricultural technology and practices will be permanently transformed. It is most likely that investment in land zoning enforcement and forest monitoring will need to be permanently supported through state budgetary resources. Additionally, the existence of a credible international mechanism to deliver RBPs could attract other sources of funding for this type of investment in the future. Activities to ensure long term sustainability are embedded in the project components as described below: ● For Outcome 1, investments in reformulating PDOTs in targeted GADs will ensure the inclusion of forest mitigation actions over time, through policies, regulations and actions financed by public funds. The project will contribute directly to start-up processes and to their sustainability over time. The project will also contribute to improving coordination and alignment between PAMs implemented at the national and sub-national levels, in order to better protect the forests. This will result in a paradigm shift and will be supported after project closure by future REDD+ RBPs. It is expected to deliver capacity building among GADs staff in order to reinforce climate change, forestry and land use criteria for future updates to PDOTs and alignment between SENPLADES guidelines and REDD+ AP. ● For Outcome 2, the GCF contribution aims to overcome financial barriers towards sustainable production by delivering direct incentives to smallholder subsistence farmers. Direct incentives will be made through ATPA, which has a clear mandate to support reconversion from conventional to sustainable production in the long term. Sustainability and Scaling Up. The project will complement existing initiatives, processes and support development of institutional frameworks that enable sustainability. Within the UNDP COs, the project will by design complement and enhance the existing programmes on local development, enabling thus learning across and between the different projects. Significant focus will be given to capability development, ensuring that staff participating in this projects’ activities will acquire skills necessary to facilitate the process in other cities and settings, as well as utilize the infrastructure that is developed by BOOST. From the local authority perspective, the project will seek to build cross-cutting teams around shared objectives. Through the different learning mechanisms, the project will build capabilities of constituencies within local authorities and enable sustainability. It will also seek to design and implement alternative finance tools, which should allow local administration to scale up the efforts.
Sustainability and Scaling Up. The issue of sustainability is enshrined in the principles that guide all interventions envisaged under this project. Aside from interventions to be implemented to build the capacity of national institutions, the project looks at long-term interventions that strengthen crisis governance in Nigeria. With regard to sustainability and scaling up, the project plans to institute the following:
Sustainability and Scaling Up. The sustainability of the project, which builds on the experience of the embracing the innovation agenda in ECA, the ODECA platform, the results and lessons learnt of the first phase of the TGFF project, and the broader partnership between the Slovak Republic and UNDP, will be ensured through:  Close involvement of the beneficiaries in the design of specific programmatic interventions in the partner countries, including via consultation with UNDP COs and application of user-centric methodologies in defining problems;  Supporting COs in starting new and innovative activities, from design process, implementation and scaling, including resource mobilization, and monitoring and evaluation through innovative and responsive means (like RCT, micro-narratives, etc.);  Building on the experience developed under Phase I (such as the implementation of the data cookbook and the open government guidelines, supporting SMEs and green energy through crowdfunding, or closing the financial gap with alternative finance mechanisms), or codifying the knowledge and experience into knowledge products and toolkits for replication;  Regular knowledge-sharing with all concerned stakeholders, to ensure that the projects results are clear, appreciated and assessed positively, and thus contribute to the strengthening of the Slovak ODA system as well as an enhanced knowledge and coordination within the emerging donors network and the international development community.

  • Vendor’s Resellers as Related to This Agreement Vendor’s Named Resellers (“Resellers”) under this Agreement shall comply with all terms and conditions of this agreement and all addenda or incorporated documents. All actions related to sales by Authorized Vendor’s Resellers under this Agreement are the responsibility of the awarded Vendor. If Resellers fail to report sales to TIPS under your Agreement, the awarded Vendor is responsible for their contractual failures and shall be billed for the fees. The awarded Vendor may then recover the fees from their named reseller. Support Requirements If there is a dispute between the awarded Vendor and TIPS Member, TIPS or its representatives may, at TIPS sole discretion, assist in conflict resolution if requested by either party. TIPS, or its representatives, reserves the right to inspect any project and audit the awarded Vendor’s TIPS project files, documentation and correspondence related to the requesting TIPS Member’s order.
