Posted Vacancies. (a) Where a regular vacancy occurs, or a new regular position is established, the Employer shall post a vacancy notice for a minimum period of eight (8) working days containing information relevant to the position (e.g. nature of position, wage/salary rate or range, qualifications and experience required, etc.).
Posted Vacancies. 115 Should a vacancy occur within the Department due to retirement, termination, promotion, etc., the Company will discuss with the Union if said vacancy needs to be filled.
Posted Vacancies. A posted vacancy will be posted for five (5) working days. A posted vacancy is a position for which there are no employees applying for a lateral transfer or downgrade in relationship to their position. A posted vacancy is available to all bargaining unit employees seeking a promotion. External applicants will be considered only after bargaining unit members have been considered and have been deemed to not meet the listed qualifications through testing and the interview process. Selection shall be based on seniority and/or ability, attitude towards work and others and workmanship. The Employer shall notify in writing all of the applicants covered by this Agreement, as to the name of the person who has been awarded the position within five (5) working days from the date of the selection of the individual who has been awarded the position. Employees who were not selected for a posted vacancy for which they applied, may arrange an informal conference with the Administrator responsible for the selection process. The administrator shall describe any deficiencies that may be interfering with the employee's attempt to secure a posted vacancy. Any Employer sponsored in‐service and/or training activities available to the employee shall be identified during this conference.
Posted Vacancies. (i) Where a regular vacancy occurs, or a new regular position is established, the District shall post, for a minimum period of five (5) working days, a vacancy notice containing information related to the classification (for example, pay rate, qualifications and work experience desired). The conditions of employment noted herein shall also be included in any newspaper or outside advertisements.
Posted Vacancies. Parking Lot Attendants shall be entitled to apply for vacant posted positions as set out in Article 14.
Posted Vacancies. The Board retains the sole right to determine who will be appointed to a vacancy. The Board retains the right to appoint a qualified employee within the bargaining unit when filling vacancies without considering external candidates. The Board will consider qualified employees within the bargaining unit along with external candidates when filling a posted vacancy. Any internal applicant who is not selected for a position for which he/she has applied shall receive notice of his/her non-selection.
Posted Vacancies. A. All vacancies not considered as temporary as listed in (Temporary Vacancies) will be considered a permanent vacancy.
Posted Vacancies. 1. The district shall notify Association members of vacancies in the bargaining unit. Such posting of job vacancies shall be for a period of at least five (5) business days within the district, and shall include an anticipated start date. If the district does not, in its sole opinion, find the internal candidates to be sufficiently qualified for the position, the district may post to the outside prior to the closing of applications for the position. The district practice of posting job vacancy notices in district buildings in designated locations will suffice for meeting the notification requirement. If a posting exceeds 90 calendar days, the district will communicate the status of that posting to all applicants.
Posted Vacancies. The following factors shall receive consideration when filling posted vacancies: qualifications, experience, skill and ability. When these factors are equal among applicants for the position, the senior employee shall receive preference. All determinations of qualifications, experience, skill and ability shall be made by the Employer, Whether such determinations were made i n a fair and equitable fashion shall be subject to the procedures under this Agreement. In any arbitration pursuant to subsection if the Union is first able to demonstrate that the senior employee presently has the qualifications, experience, skill and ability to do the job i n question, the Employer must then establish that such qualifications, experience, skill and ability are not equal to those possessed by the successful applicant.
Posted Vacancies. Where a regular vacancy occurs, or a new regular position is established, the Employer shall post a vacancy notice for a minimum period of five (5) working days containing information relevant to the position (e.g. nature of position, pay rate or range, qualifications and experience required, etc.) and the successful candidate shall be appointed within sixty (60) days from the closing date of the posting. Temporary vacancies shall not be posted under this Article, save and except that temporary vacancies which the Employer anticipates will exceed three (3) months shall be posted. Temporary vacancies shall not exceed the time duration as posted and filled without mutual agreement between the Union and Employer. All posted or advertised vacancies shall include the following statement on the notice “This is a Local position”. A temporary vacancy caused by an employee being on long-term disability may be filled by an auxiliary employee, subject to conversion to regular status pursuant Article The posting shall indicate that the term of appointment is not known. Collective Agreement Local and City of Victoria Applications by Auxiliary Employees Auxiliary employees shall be eligible to apply for any vacancy posted under this Article and filled on the basis of Article Provided always that the qualifications, experience, skill and ability of the auxiliary employee to perform the work in question is equal to that of an external applicant, the auxiliary employee shall receive preference. Auxiliary employees who have completed their probationary period shall have seniority for purposes of applying for any posted position. An auxiliary employee’s hours worked shall be recognized as seniority for the purposes of this Article.
