Posting Vacancies. 1. Vacancies that occur in certified positions shall be posted online for not less than five (5) working days prior to their being filled or advertised outside the district. The five- (5) day posting requirement may be suspended by the Administration on June 1 each year. The five-day posting requirement shall resume on the first day of October.

Posting Vacancies. 15.1 (a) All regular full-time vacancies will be posted the first Wednesday following the week during which the Board becomes aware that a vacancy will exist. All vacancies and new positions shall be posted for at least five (5) working days prior to having the position filled. All members of the bargaining unit on extended leave or layoff who so request of the Human Resources Office, shall be in- formed of each job posting. Job postings shall state duties, qualifications, hours, length of work year, level and classifica- tion for each position. Position and wages must be commensu- rate with classification as shown on the salary and classification schedule. All level one positions will be posted “In District” before substi- tutes and outside applicants are considered.

In making their determination the Employer shall consider required knowledge, education, and skills. When these factors are equal among applicants, then existing employees having the greatest seniority shall receive preference. All determinations of qualifications, experience, skill and ability shall be made by the Employer. Where there are no suitable applicants, the Employer may recruit from outside.
