Political Action Committee. 38 The District shall, upon receipt of a written authorization form that conforms to legal requirements, 39 deduct from the pay of such bargaining unit employee the amount of contribution the employee 40 voluntarily chooses for deduction for political purposes and shall transmit the same to the Union. 41 42 Section 14.3. 43 The Association agrees to defend and hold the District harmless against any legal action brought against 44 the District in reference to valid membership.
Political Action Committee. Upon receipt of a properly executed voluntary authorization card from an employee, the Employer will deduct from the employee’s salary such amounts as the employee authorizes to pay to AFSCME PEOPLE.
Political Action Committee. The Controller shall deduct fifty cents ($.50) per pay period from the salary to be paid to each Union member, identified on a list prepared and submitted by the Union, as a contribution to the SEIU 721 Political Action Committee (“PAC”). Union members may voluntarily contribute an amount greater than fifty cents ($.50) per pay period to the PAC; provided the Union provides the Controller timely notice of the members’ names and the additional amount they wish to contribute on a biweekly basis. Such contribution is to be deducted from twenty-four (24) biweekly payroll checks annually. Remittance of the amount of the PAC deductions shall be sent to the Union by the Controller within thirty (30) working days after the end of the month in which such deductions are made. A fee of nine cents ($.09) per deduction shall be assessed by the Controller for the processing of each PAC deduction taken. The Controller will deduct the aggregate amount of such fees on a biweekly basis. Neither an employee nor the Union shall have any claim against the City for a PAC deduction made or not made, as the case may be, unless a claim of error is presented to the Controller in writing within thirty (30) calendar days after the date such deduction was or should have been made. The Union indemnifies the City, its officers (present and former), and its employees (present and former) for, and holds them harmless against, any liability or expense (including without limitation any judgment, reasonable attorney's fees, and costs of suit) arising out of the adoption or implementation of this Article.
Political Action Committee. No payroll deductions shall be made that include amounts pertaining to a political action committee.

The Treasurer of the district shall take such deductions from a bargaining unit member's regular earnings as may be authorized by the bargaining unit member and shall transmit them to Fund for Children and Public Education in accordance with guidelines developed cooperatively by the JAEA and the Treasurer.

All other matters by this 19 reference are specifically excluded from action under this section. Grievances arising between the 20 District and the employee(s) will be resolved in strict compliance with this Article. In arriving at any 21 disposition or settlement, neither party will have the authority to alter the Agreement.

Political Action Committee. CITY shall payroll deduct for any Political Action Committee established by the UNION. Political Action Committee payroll deductions shall be on a voluntary basis. Deductions shall be authorized by use of Personnel Information Form.
