PERSONNEL LEAVE. 13.1 Employees are entitled to five days personnel leave for the first 12 months of service and eight days per year for each subsequent year of service.
PERSONNEL LEAVE. 1. The provisions of N.J.S.A. 18A:30-1 to and including N.J.S.A. 18A:30—4 dealing with sick leave, service connected disability, accumulated sick leave, credit for unused sick leave, accumulation of sick leave and requirement for a physician’s certificate are incorporated in this agreement and made a part thereof as though recited verbatim. Effective September 1, 2003, medical certification shall be required to substantiate sick leave whenever the Superintendent has a reasonable suspicion that sick leave is being abused as set forth in Policy No. 4151 or after more than three (3) consecutive absences.
PERSONNEL LEAVE. Personal leave is available to full time and part time employees, when absent due to: • personal illness or injury (sick leave); or • providing care or support for an immediate family or household member due to illness, injury or unexpected emergency (carers leave) Full time employees are entitled to 10 days paid personal leave per year which is accrued throughout the year. Part time employees accrue leave on a pro-rata basis. Employees taking personal leave may be required to provide proof relating to the reason for their absence on each occasion. The employee, where practicable, shall notify the employer at least half an hour before his or her rostered starting time on the first day of absence, of his or her inability to attend for duty, and where practicable state the nature of the illness or injury and the estimated duration of the absence. An employee will only be entitled to take a maximum of 10 days carer’s leave (from total accrued personal leave) during any twelve month period unless otherwise agreed. An employee shall also be entitled to a period of up to 2 days unpaid carer’s leave on each permissible occasion if all paid personal carer's leave as been exhausted.
PERSONNEL LEAVE. Where an employee participates as a candidate in a personnel selection process for a position in the OSFI and in the Public Service, as defined in the Public Service Staff Relations Act, the employee is entitled to leave of absence with pay for the period during which the employee's presence is required for purposes of the selection process, and for such further period as the Employer considers reasonable for the employee to travel to and from the place where his presence is so required. Such leave will only be granted for those periods the employee would normally be on duty.

  • Sabbatical Leaves 49. Members taking their first Sabbatical Leave after a probationary period at The University of Western Ontario shall receive 90.0% of their Base Salary; Members taking their second or subsequent Sabbatical Leave from The University of Western Ontario shall receive 85.0% of their Base Salary.

  • Carer’s Leave An employee may use up to 10 days accrued sick days as carers leave to tend to the care for members of the employee’s immediate household. The leave will be subject to the employee providing reasonable proof of the need for the use of xxxxx’s leave. In circumstances where the employee has exhausted all of the paid leave, a further 2 days unpaid leave may be taken.

  • Health Leave Any regular employee of the District may, at the discretion of the Board, be granted a leave of absence without pay for reasons of health, such leave to be specified for a period of not more than one year. Such leave may be extended in case of serious health conditions.

  • Legal Leave 19.12.1The University shall grant leave of absence with pay to a member of faculty who is called to serve as a juror or a witness in a court of law in a matter in which he/she is not a party or an accused.

  • Sabbatical Leave The purpose of a sabbatical leave is to enhance professional development, support department/unit goals, and/or meet the instructional, service, or research priorities of the university.

  • Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.

  • Personal/Carer’s Leave a) Personal/carer’s leave is defined in accordance with Section 244 of the Act and includes paid sick leave (accrued under the AFPCS) and paid or unpaid carer’s leave (accrued under the AFPCS). Casual employees shall have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave.

  • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part- time employees who are elected to or appointed to the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses or the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario or the Registered Practical Nurses’ Association of Ontario subject to the following limitations:
