NEA LEAVE. NEA leave shall be granted to State officers and to members of committees and commissions as requested by the State or National Associations. A maximum of fifteen (15) days shall be approved, at District expense, to be used for official NEA State or National Association business.

NEA LEAVE. The NEA Bargaining Unit shall have a total of fifteen (15) days paid leave for release time per school year to attend meetings and workshops and to conduct Association business. The Association President shall provide the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and the Unit member's Principal written notice that a Unit member will be using such leave as far in advance as possible.
NEA LEAVE. When it is necessary for an official representative of the NEA to engage in NEA activities directly relating to the NEA's duties as representative of the employees during the school day, they may be given such free time, without loss of pay, as is necessary to perform any such activities. The total number of workdays per contract year shall be six (6). The NEA and its officers recognize and agree that this privilege should not be abused. Additional workdays, if requested, may be approved by the Superintendent. The NEA President shall be assigned a duty- free period of not less than forty-five consecutive minutes each workday for the purpose of conducting NEA business. If the NEA President is unable to be assigned an additional planning period (i.e., K-5 teacher), the President shall be remunerated at a rate of fifty dollars ($50) per day.

NEA LEAVE. At the beginning of every school year, the NEA shall be credited with three days to be used by teachers who are officers or agents of the NEA, such use to be at the discretion of the NEA. The NEA agrees to notify the principals involved no less than five days in advance of the use of such leave. Such release time shall be in lieu of class assignment and shall be with pay.

In circumstances where the employee has exhausted all of the paid leave, a further 2 days unpaid leave may be taken.

  • Health Leave Any regular employee of the District may, at the discretion of the Board, be granted a leave of absence without pay for reasons of health, such leave to be specified for a period of not more than one year. Such leave may be extended in case of serious health conditions.

  • Xxxxx’s leave (1) An employee is entitled to use up to 10 days accrued personal leave each year to care for a member of his or her immediate family or a member of his or her household who is ill and requires his or her care. The employee is not entitled to take xxxxx’s leave for a particular period if another person has taken leave to care for the person for the same period.

  • Donor Leave An employee shall be granted the necessary leave of absence with pay for the purpose of donating bone marrow or an organ.

  • Legal Leave 19.12.1The University shall grant leave of absence with pay to a member of faculty who is called to serve as a juror or a witness in a court of law in a matter in which he/she is not a party or an accused.
