This does not apply to employees who work for less than one week. If required by order or in an emergency to work in excess of hours, exclusive of time occupied in travelling, overtime rates will be paid for such excess time worked. When work is planned in advance requiring employees to work on call days or in excess of eight hours per day on an assigned work day, such work shall not be considered emergency work and will not be included in the guarantee. Employees called to work on other than their assigned territory outside of their assigned hours due to the signal employees on the other territory being absent from duty with proper authority and no relief supplied, or to augment the signal staff on the other territory, will be paid overtime rates for such time apart from the hours per period. Employees covered by this Article shall be assigned one regular rest day per week, Sunday if possible, and service on such assigned rest day shall be governed by Article Hours paid on such assigned rest days shall not be included in computing the hours per period after which overtime rates apply. Such employees shall be assigned one call day per week, and one rest day per week, either of which may be Saturday or Sunday except a t locations where more than one shift is required the call day and rest day w i l l be consecutive. Emergency service on such days w i l l be paid for as follows:

If required to work in excess of 179.3 hours per four-week period, such hours shall be paid for as follows: Actual overtime hours worked in excess of 160 hours will be accumulated over a twelve-week period. If these overtime hours worked exceed 57.9 (comprised of 19.3 hours x 3 four week periods) such additional hours worked in excess of 57.9 will be paid for at the rate of time and one-half at the conclusion of the twelve week period.
Monthly Allowances. Effective April 1, 2008, an employee who has been designated by the Commission as belonging to a class of employment where the availability of a motor vehicle is deemed to be a condition of employment may opt to receive a monthly car allowance of $314.88 plus 23.23 cents per kilometer. The rate above will be adjusted annually (up or down) on April 1 of any subsequent year of this Agreement after April 1, 2008. This adjustment will be based on the annual average year over year percentage change in the Nova Scotia Private Transportation Index for the calendar year preceding the April 1 effective change date, as calculated by Statistics Canada. The calculation is based on the calendar year January to December percentage change over January to December.

  • INJURY ALLOWANCE 34.01 An employee injured on the job shall be paid for the balance of his or her shift on which the injury occurred if, as a result of such an injury, the employee is sent home by the Employer or is sent to an outside hospital and doctor at such hospital or the employee’s own doctor certifies that the employee should not return to work. The Employer will make available transportation for such injured employee.

  • Over-Allowance Amount On the Cost Proposal Delivery Date and, in any event, prior to the commencement of the construction of the Tenant Improvements, Tenant shall deliver to Landlord cash in an amount (the “Over-Allowance Amount”) equal to the difference between (i) the amount of the Cost Proposal and (ii) the amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance (less any portion thereof already disbursed by Landlord, or in the process of being disbursed by Landlord, on or before the Cost Proposal Delivery Date). The Over-Allowance Amount shall be disbursed by Landlord prior to the disbursement of any then remaining portion of the Tenant Improvement Allowance, and such disbursement shall be pursuant to the same procedure as the Tenant Improvement Allowance. If, after the Cost Proposal Date, any revisions, changes, or substitutions shall be made to the Construction Drawings or the Tenant Improvements as a result of requests made by Tenant or as otherwise specified in Section 5.01(h) below, any additional costs which arise in connection with such revisions, changes or substitutions shall be paid by Tenant to Landlord immediately upon Landlord’s request as an addition to the Over-Allowance Amount and, in any event, prior to the commencement of the construction of the revisions, changes or substitutions. Promptly following completion of construction of the Tenant Improvements and payment of all costs incurred in connection therewith, Landlord shall prepare and deliver to Tenant a reasonably detailed reconciliation of (i) the total cost of the Tenant Improvements, including all Tenant Improvement Allowance Items, and (ii) the total amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance and the Over-Allowance Amount payments previously made by Tenant pursuant to the foregoing provisions of this Section. To the extent that such reconciliation discloses that the total costs of the Tenant Improvements exceeds the amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance plus all Over-Allowance Amount previously paid by Tenant, Tenant shall pay the amount of such shortfall to Landlord within thirty (30) days after receipt of such reconciliation. To the extent that such reconciliation discloses that the total costs of the Tenant Improvements is less than the amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance plus all Over-Allowance Amounts previously paid by Tenant, Landlord shall pay the amount of such overage to Tenant at the time that Landlord delivers such reconciliation to Tenant.

  • PAY AND ALLOWANCES Regular Rate of Pay: The regular rate of pay for each position in the bargaining unit shall be in accordance with the rates established for each class as provided for in Appendices A and B, which is attached hereto and, by reference, incorporated as a part of this Agreement. The regular rate of pay shall not include any shift differential and/or longevity increment required to be paid under this Agreement.
