One Shift. Where one (1) shift is employed, the starting time of the first shift is between 05:00 hours and 08:00 hours, unless other wise mutually agreed. Each employee will be provided with an allowance of a twenty (20) minute paid meal period within the limits of the fifth (5th) hour of their respective shifts. In addition each employee will be provided with two (2), ten (10) minute paid coffee breaks during their respective shifts.

One Shift. Five (5) days from Monday to Friday, inclusive, shall constitute a workweek. Eight (8) hours between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 5:30 P.M. shall constitute a workday. All time worked in excess of the regular eight (8) hour day shall be paid at overtime rates. All work performed before 6:00 A.M. or after 5:30 P.M. shall be paid at the overtime rate of pay.

  • Day Shift The standard work day will consist of eight (8) hours worked between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a designated thirty (30) minute lunch period. Starting and stopping times to be determined by mutual agreement between the Company and the shop employees.

  • Hour Shift A ten (10) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid thirty-seven and one half (37.5) minute meal period and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Second Shift The second shift shall be seven and one-half (7½) hours of continuous employment, except for lunch period at mid-shift, and shall be paid eight (8) hours at the straight time hourly wage rate.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Night Shift Employees who regularly work a full shift of eight (8) hours or more on night shift as defined in Section 12.6.1 (Types of Shifts), which includes four (4) hours or more between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m., shall be paid their regular salary plus ten percent (10%) of their monthly salary per month, provided that in the case of any employee who is regularly assigned to night-shift work for less than an entire work week, the additional payment shall be made only for the portion of the work week worked on the night-shift assignment.

  • Afternoon Shift If a second shift is employed, the hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours of work between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 12:30 A.M. for which eight (8) hours will be paid and a shift premium of sixty-one cents (61¢) shall be added on to the classified hourly rate.

  • Work Shift The hours an employee is scheduled to work each workday in a workweek.

  • Shift A full-time shift shall normally consist of a nine (9) consecutive hour time period, determined by the University, of which one hour shall be used for a lunch period without compensation. A one-half hour lunch period may be substituted for the one hour lunch period with prior approval of the supervisor. With the approval of their supervisor and the Human Resources Office, schedules of less than forty (40) hours per week or a shift change may be elected by staff members.

  • Monday morning (2) The employee should not work more than 16 hours without an 8 hour break.

  • Night Shift Premium Any employee who is required to work on any day when the majority of their working hours fall between 10.00 p.m. and 5.00 a.m., or who starts their shift prior to 5.00 a.m., shall be paid a premium, in addition to their regular, hourly rate, of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour for all hours worked on the shift. Shift premium pay shall not be added to an employee’s hourly rate for the purpose of computing overtime. This clause shall not result in duplication of premiums.
