Locality Allowance. 25.1 The Company will provide locality allowance to eligible employees in accordance with the locality allowance policy.

Locality Allowance. For those employees with an entitlement under an industrial instrument, this allowance will be paid on a proportionate basis for the period of the leave i.e. half the normal entitlement.
Locality Allowance. For the purposes of this clause, the following definition(s) apply: Dependant means: a Spouse; or if there is no Spouse - a child or any other relative resident within the state of Western Australia who rely on the Staff Member for financial support; who does not receive a location allowance of any kind. A Staff Member whose usual place of work is located outside the Perth metropolitan area and within the state of Western Australia is entitled to a locality allowance in accordance with Schedule 4(6), Locality Allowance. If a Staff Member’s usual place of work is at a location outside the Perth metropolitan area, other than those specified in Schedule 4(6), Locality Allowance, they will be paid the applicable District Allowance rate contained in: the Public Service Award 1992 as amended from time to time; or else any alternative authorised document used to set District Allowance for the public sector. A Staff Member with Dependant(s) is entitled to double the locality allowance prescribed in Schedule 4(6), Locality Allowance. A Part-time Staff Member will be entitled to a locality allowance proportionate to hours worked. A Staff Member will continue to receive a locality allowance during periods of approved paid leave. If a Staff Member carries out their duties outside of their locality, payment of the locality allowance will continue if the Staff Member’s Dependant(s) continue to reside in the locality. A Staff Member who is required to temporarily reside outside of the Perth metropolitan area and within the state of Western Australia for a period of greater than 1 month is entitled to a locality allowance in accordance with Schedule 4(6), Locality Allowance. The locality allowance will be paid in addition to any travelling allowance to which the Staff Member may be entitled. Locality allowance rates prescribed in Schedule 4(6), Locality Allowance will be indexed in accordance with any increases to District Allowance rates as prescribed in the Public Service Award 1992 as amended from time to time.
Locality Allowance. Ergon Energy will pay a locality allowance to an employee who is employed at a location for which a locality allowance is payable in accordance with a directive issued under the Public Service Act 2008. For an employee who has a dependent spouse/partner or dependent child and who is employed at a location for which a locality allowance is payable, the allowance will be paid as follows: ▪ Full-time employee - at the appropriate rate set out in the directive; and ▪ Part-time employee - at a proportionate amount of the rate set out in the directive. Provided that if an employee’s spouse/partner is also entitled to be paid a locality allowance under this part; or is employed by the State is entitled to be paid a locality allowance, then the allowance will be payable at either one-half the appropriate rate set out in the directive for a full- time employee or in the case of a part-time employee at a proportionate amount of the rate. For an employee who does not have a dependent spouse/partner or dependent child and who is employed at a location for which a locality allowance is payable, the allowance will be paid as follows: ▪ Full-time employee - at one-half the appropriate rate set out in the directive; and ▪ Part-time employee - at one-half of the proportionate amount of the rate set out in the directive. Where an employee’s eligibility for locality allowance is changed the employee must notify Ergon Energy immediately. Locality allowance is not payable to an employee who is absent on leave without pay.
Locality Allowance. Locality Allowance will be payable as taxable income to all EASC employees, except casual employees employed under Clause 5.3, at the rates for the locality in the table below that is the primary place of residence for their employment with EASC. The Locality Allowance will contribute towards recompensing employees for the extra costs incurred in residing remotely and travelling from their primary abode to Darwin or elsewhere for the purpose of leave or acquiring goods etc. Dependents for the purpose of this clause will be dependants as defined in Clause 4 (Definitions) who permanently reside with the employee. Employees are obliged to advise EASC when any change of circumstances occur that affects their eligibility to Locality Allowance. EASC may deduct overpayments in the event the employee fails to notify of a change in circumstances that would have reduced their entitlement. The Locality Allowance will be increased annually in line with salary movements under Clause 7.1, Anniversary Salary Increase. Locality Allowance will be paid on a pro rata basis for part time employees.
