Proportionate Basis definition

Proportionate Basis means the relevant proportion for each Council by reference to their respective percentage contribution as set out in Clause 12.5.3 (Councils' Contribution)
Proportionate Basis means when used with respect to the redemption of Bonds, that the funds available for payment of the Redemption Price, before rounding, shall be applied so that the percentage of the Bond Value of each maturity to be redeemed (in relation to the amount of Bonds of such maturity Outstanding immediately before such redemption) shall equal the same percentage for every maturity. The amount so determined for each maturity may be rounded up or down, at the discretion of the Commission, to an amount representing an integral multiple of the denomination of the Bonds of such maturity.   • In the event of a claim under this clause 15 in which it is not reasonably practicable to determine the extent of responsibility as between the Councils then the amount shall be divided amongst the Councils on a Proportionate Basis.

  • The amount to be paid to the Host Council by any of the other Councils under clause 15.3 shall be borne by each of the Councils to the extent of its responsibility, however in the event that the responsibility is a shared one between the Councils (so that it is not reasonably practicable to ascertain the exact responsibility between the Councils) then the amount to be paid shall be divided between the Councils on a Proportionate Basis.

Any Bonds purchased with moneys which would otherwise be applied to redemption on a Proportionate Basis on the next succeeding Bond Payment Date shall be taken into account in determining “Proportionate Basis” with respect to such redemption. When used with respect to the purchase of Bonds “Proportionate Basis” shall have the same meaning as set forth above (substituting purchase for redeem or redemption, and purchased for redeemed).
