Disciplinary Appearance. When an employee is required to appear before the Administration and/or the Board regarding the discipline or dismissal of an employee the employee shall be given advance written notice and be entitled to have a representative of the Union present.

Disciplinary Appearance. When an employee is required to appear before the Board or administration concerning any matter which could adversely affect that employee's position, employment or salary, the employee shall be given reasonable prior written notice of the reasons for such meeting and shall be entitled to have a personal representative at said meeting. If, during the course of discussing disciplinary action with an administrator, an employee requests Union representation, the administrator shall discontinue the discussion.

Disciplinary Appearance. When an administrator requires a meeting with a bargaining unit member for: (1) an investigatory conference from which the member has a reasonable expectation discipline might result; or (2) the purpose of communicating a recommendation for discipline, the member shall receive an email (or other written communication) informing him/her of the time and location of the meeting and of his/her right to have Union representation present. When the Board requires a meeting with a bargaining unit member, the member shall be given reasonable advance written notice of such meeting and the nature of the possible disciplinary action. A member shall have the right to be accompanied by a Union representative at any such meeting with the Board. In the event the representative chosen is other than a Union representative, the Union President shall be given notice of any disciplinary action taken or recommended within a reasonable time following such meeting.

Administration will inform employees of their right to a Union representative. Reasonable advanced written notice of such meeting and the nature of the possible disciplinary action shall be given. Any formal resolution to a disciplinary action not involving the Union will be communicated to the Union.

Disciplinary Appearance. When an Assistant is required to appear before Administration and/or the Board regarding his/her possible discipline or dismissal, the Assistant shall be given twenty- four (24) hour written notice and shall be entitled to have a representative of the Union present. The DFSA building representative shall be copied on all written notices to meet regarding discipline or dismissal. It is the responsibility of the employee and union representative to address any employee request to waive union representation at such meetings. No Assistant shall be required to attend a meeting until she/he has arranged to have Union representation if she/he chooses provided the twenty- four (24) hour timeframe is supported. The meeting may occur beyond the specified timeframe if mutually agreed upon by the Union and Administration.
