Deductions from Pay Clause Samples

The "Deductions from Pay" clause authorizes an employer to withhold certain amounts from an employee’s wages under specified circumstances. Typically, this clause outlines the types of deductions that may be made, such as for taxes, benefits, wage garnishments, or repayment of advances, and may reference legal requirements or employee consent. Its core function is to clarify when and why pay deductions can occur, ensuring both parties understand permissible withholdings and reducing the risk of disputes over payroll practices.
