Construction Safety and Security. 1. The Certificate Holder shall comply with applicable federal and state safety regulations (including regulations promulgated under the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act), as well as local and state industrial codes and standards (such as the Uniform Fire Code). The Certificate Holder, its general contractor, and all subcontractors shall make every reasonable effort to maximize safety for individuals working at the Project.

Construction Safety and Security. 1. The safety of construction and operating personnel is required by regulations promulgated under the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA). The Certificate Holder shall comply with applicable federal and state safety regulations and local and industrial codes and standards (such as the Uniform Fire Code or those standards administered by the National Boiler Board and Pressure Vessel Inspectors). The Certificate Holder, its general contractor, and all subcontractors shall make every reasonable effort to maximize safety for individuals working at the S2GF.
Construction Safety and Security. The CONSULT ANT is responsible for initiating and maintaining a safety and health program that complies with applicable local, state and federal occupational safety and health regulations, including but not limited to the Hawaii Administrative Rules, Title 12, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations Subtitle 8, Division of Occupational Safety and Health Part 3, Construction Standards . The CONSULT ANT shall be familiar with the Honolulu High-Capacity Transit Corridor Project Construction Safety and Security Plan (CSSP) current revision and comply with applicable sections, including, but not limited to visitor control, public access, first aidlemergency response, safe work practices, personal protective equipment, and safety and security reporting requirements. Prior to accessing the PROJECT, all personnel must attend the HAXX'x Xafety and Environmental Orientation. The CONSULTANT shall require employees, subconsultants andlor subcontractors comply with applicable regulations and the Site-Specific Safety and Security Plan (SSSP) submitted by CONSULTANT for this PROJECT. The CONSULTANT shall designate at least one person as the Safety and Security Representative (this may be a collateral duty position andlor prime sub-consultant designee) to be on-site any time field activities are taking place and be responsible to provide the proper implementation of the SSSP. The Safety and Security Representative shall have completed the OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Outreach Program or equivalent and be a competent person for applicable subject matter, including but not limited to fall protection, excavation and trenching, the control of hazardous energy Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), scaffolding and confmed spaces. The CONSULTANT shall submit a Site-Specific Safety and Security Plan (SSSP) which shall address the CONSULTANT'S field work-related hazards and mitigation measures. This plan shall take into account all work, including any activities subcontracted. Construction Safety and Security. The Contractor shall provide for protecting the lives and health of employees and other persons; preventing damage to property, materials, supplies, and equipment; and avoiding work interruptions. The effectiveness of the Contractor’s safety and security efforts depends upon active participation, cooperation, and compliance by the Contractor’s and Subcontractors’ project managers, superintendents, supervisors, and other employees. The Contractor shall:  Plan and execute all Work to prevent personal injury, breaches in security, property damage or loss;  Comply with Laws, industry consensus standards; and the Authority and Contractor, policies, procedures, and requirements;  Implement and maintain a system of prompt identification and correction/abatement of unsafe and unhealthy practices and conditions;  Implement and maintain a system of prompt identification and correction/abatement of unsecure assets and conditions;  Prompt notification and investigation of all incidents of injury, damage, or near-miss incidents to determine causes and take necessary corrective action;  Prompt notification and investigation of all reports of security breaches;  Establish and conduct an educational program for all employees through safety and security meetings and training programs;  Proper utilization of required safety equipment/devices;  Employ competent personnel to develop processes to provide safe and secure working environments for the design and construction work force, management facilities, the affected public, and private businesses and their properties;  Establish and maintain a comprehensive security program encompassing personnel, facility, and site management in conjunction with emergency planning and response procedures; and  Maintain an accurate record of exposure data on all accidents incident to work performed under this Contract resulting in death, traumatic injury, occupational disease, or damage to property, materials, supplies, or equipment.

Bidder further certifies that if they are the awarded Contractor, and the material, equipment, etc., delivered is subsequently found to be deficient in any OSHA requirements in effect on date of delivery, all costs necessary to bring the material, equipment, etc., into compliance with the aforementioned requirements shall be borne by the Contractor.
