Fall Protection a) All work performed 4’ above ground level (individuals foot to ground distance), or where a fall hazard of 4’ exists, will be conducted in accordance with the applicable requirements of OSHA 1926 Subpart M - Fall Protection and CCI requirements.
Fall Protection. Subcontractor shall provide and ensure the use of continuous fall protection equipment when activities take place 6 feet or more above a lower level. Fall protection specifics including the name of the fall protection competent person are required to be included in the subcontractor’s Activity Hazard Analysis (AHAs).

Fall Protection. The Principal Contractor shall designate a competent person to prepare a fall protection plan, which will include a risk assessment of all work carried out from an elevated position. This shall be done in accordance with Regulation 8 of the Construction Regulations and DST_34-1131: Standard for a Fall Arrest System.
Fall Protection. All subcontractors will be required to have fall protection when exposed to a fall of 6’ or greater. Xxxxxxxxx and Xxxxxx has a zero-tolerance policy on fall protection infractions. Any employee observed violating the fall protection policy will be suspended from the project for a time-period to be determined by the project team. Any further infractions by that employee will result in the employee’s permanent removal from the project. Each subcontractor is required to create a plan or system to address fall protection within their scope of work. These plans or systems are maintained in their company’s site-specific safety plans. Fall Protection. Tree pruning, window and ledge cleaning, window replacement, overhead bridge crane maintenance/repair services, roll-up door replacement, tent installation, awning/canopy installation, overhead air exchange installation, construction inspection and testing services.
Fall Protection. Employees shall not be exposed to fall hazards. When an employee observes a fall hazard, they will notify their supervisor of the hazard. The responsible Contractor will immediately correct the hazard. 100% continuous fall protection, for fall hazards greater than six (6’) feet, shall be implemented on this Project - including steel erection and scaffold use, erection and dismantling. Each Contractor shall be responsible for meeting fall protection requirements in their overall safety and health program. Each Contractor shall evaluate ALL fall exposure conditions or tasks and must develop a Fall Protection Plan which outlines what methods, procedures and/or devices will be used in their program. Each Contractor shall be responsible for implementing the requirements to achieve fall protection in accordance with all Federal, State, local rules, regulations, and the OCIP Safety and Health Guideline. All fall protection systems used on this project shall comply with OSHA regulations and the project safety guidelines. Fall protection shall provide a positive means of protection. Controlled Access Zones and Safety Monitoring Systems are not considered positive means of fall protection and shall not be permitted. Any employee exposed to a fall greater than six (6) feet shall use approved fall protection equipment or devices. Fall protection systems shall be designed and installed under the direction of a Registered Professional Engineer or Qualified Person. Fall protection is required, as a minimum, under the following examples:  Formwork and reinforcing steel. Each employee on the face of formwork or reinforcing steel shall be protected from falling 6 feet or more to lower levels by Personal Fall Arrest Systems, safety net systems, or positioning device systems.  When working from a telescoping, articulating, or rotating type lifts and scissors lifts, personnel shall wear a safety harness with shock absorbing lanyard, secured to an approved anchorage point.  When working on a ladder higher than six (6) feet from a solid surface, if the employee's torso extends past the side rails or if a vertical ladder extended a total of 20' or greater.  When working on a platform or other support not equipped with an adequate guardrail, which is higher than six (6) feet from a solid surface.  When working from a crane-suspended work platform, a safety harness with shock absorbing lanyard is mandatory.  When an employee may have to be lowered into or raised from a confin...
Fall Protection. Webcor/Obayashi maintains a zero tolerance policy for fall protection infractions. Anyone found violating this policy may be removed from the site immediately. Subcontractor employees are required to provide and use 100% fall protection systems whenever exposed to a fall 6’ or greater, including any leading edge work. This can be accomplished through the use of a safety net system, personal fall arrest system or a guardrail system. Webcor/Obayashi does not allow the use of a Safety Monitor System. Each subcontractor is responsible for providing perimeter tie-off protection for its employees. The building perimeter cable is placed as a guardrail protection, and is not provided for tie-off protection. Electrical Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection is required for all electrical cords and tools. Each subcontractor shall provide GFCI-protected power strips for use in the building when permanent power has been energized and permanent outlets are placed in service. Each contractor will be responsible for providing and maintaining temporary GFCI’s for his or her employees if a GFCI receptacle is not available. Lockout/Tag Out Procedures Subcontractors shall submit their written LOTO program and documented employee training prior to beginning work on site. The program must include scope of training, pre-planning and specific LOTO procedures. All individuals who are working in or around the hazardous energy shall place their own lock and tag on the disconnect of the energy source. At no time will someone be allowed to remove another employee’s lock unless it has been cleared through Webcor/Obayashi competent supervision. Floor Openings/Hole Cover Procedures Subcontractor competent person is responsible for identifying any floor opening/hole requiring to be protected. All floor openings/holes shall be covered/protected using appropriate materials. The covers must be able to withstand 2x the load and be secured to the floor and will be inspected daily by the subcontractor competent person. All floor/hole covers shall be clearly marked “Hole Do Not Remove” in a high visible color. All hole covers must be in compliance with OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910.23 (a) – 1910.23
