Certificate of Competence. A document issued by the head of the Transport, Public Works and Water Management Inspectorate/Maritime Division, providing evidence of sailing competence.
Certificate of Competence. The employee, while performing the job duties in the higher classification as stated in subparagraph (1) above has demonstrated an ability to perform the work in that higher job classification competently, in the Director ’s sole discretion. The qualification of competence shall be evidenced by a certificate executed by the Department Director.

A copy of this agreement in a mutually agreed form will be issued to each employee now employed and as employed. The cost of printing this agreement shall be equally shared between the Union and the Employer. Employees may request a pay out of their accumulated compensating time not more frequently than once every three (3) months. Such pay out will be itemizedon the pay statement for the pay period following the one in which the request was made.

ARTICLE LABORATORY COATS Laboratory coats will be provided by the Hospital for the use of employees who are required to wear such coats by the Hospital. Such coats shall remain the property of the Hospital and shall turned in by employees upon termination of employment.

Such time shall be extended for satisfactory reasons. to do so by above date (or extended date) shall result in being reverted to salary status of Nursing Aide. Reinstatement to status of shall be effective the first pay period following the date of presentation of proof of certification as above.
Certificate of Competence. L22.01 (Applies to Full/Part-Time) A Registered Practical Nurse is required to present to the Vice President, Workplace Health or his designate before February 15th of each year, her current Certificate of Competence. Such time shall be extended for satisfactory reasons. Failure to provide proof of certification by the above date (or extended date) shall result in the Practical Nurse being placed on non-disciplinary suspension without pay. Reinstatement to the status of Registered Practical Nurse shall be effective the first pay period following the date of presentation of proof of certification as above. Health professions covered under the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) must maintain a current certificate for registration in order to be allowed to practice. An RPN or other health professional designated under the RHPA who does not maintain current registration shall be subject to consequences as outlined in the RHPA. ARTICLE L-23 AMBULANCE ESCORT L-23.01 (Applies to Full/Part-Time) Where an RPN is assigned to provide patient care for a patient in transit, the following provisions shall apply:
Certificate of Competence a) A Registered Practical Nurse is required to present to their respective Program Director or her designate on or before February 15th of each year, evidence that her Certificate of Registration is in good standing and currently in effect. Such time will be extended for reasons where the College of Registered Practical Nurses of Ontario permits the Registered Practical Nurses Certificate of Registration to remain in effect. If the Registered Practical Nurse’s Certificate of Registration is suspended by the College of Registered Practical Nurses of Ontario for non-payment of the annual fee, the Registered Practical Nurse will be placed on non-disciplinary suspension without pay. If the Practical Nurse presents evidence that her Certificate of Registration has been reinstated, she shall be reinstated to her position effective upon presenting such evidence. Should the Registered Practical Nurse be unable to provide evidence of qualification after 90 days from the College of Nurses of Ontario he/she shall be permanently removed from the classification and allowed to exercise all bumping rights, under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Certificate of Competence. If the employee, while performing the job duties in the higher classification as stated in subparagraph (1) above has demonstrated an ability to perform the work in that classification competently, the City Manager in his sole discretion, may execute a certificate of competence to evidence the qualifications.
Certificate of Competence. A Registered Practical Nurse will present proof of Certificate of Competence before December of each year. Failure to provide proof of current certification by December shall result in the Registered Practical Nurse reverting to the Non-Registered Practical Nurse salary rate.
