Ability to perform the work definition

Ability to perform the work means present skills, knowledge and physical fitness, within the knowledge of the University, to competently perform the full range of duties of the position in question.
Ability to perform the work means present knowledge, skills, and abilities, (KSAs) ascertained by the University based on documentation or an appropriate KSA verification, to perform the full range of duties of the position in question.

Examples of Ability to perform the work in a sentence

  • Ability to perform the work available shall be a determining factor in following the principle that the last employee laid off will be the first employee rehired.

  • Ability to perform the work required may include, by way of example, but not limitation, such considerations as training, communication skills, system or craft specialty knowledge, attendance, willingness to work overtime, or written or lost time disciplinary action that occurred within the preceding two (2) year period.

  • The term “entire service record” as herein used shall include the following: • Length of service • Ability to perform the work assigned • All formal evaluations conducted on the employee while working in the school district.

  • Ability to perform the work in respect to any job, whether skilled or unskilled, and the standard of ability is whether or not the employee can meet the reasonable requirements of the job.

  • Ability to perform the work required shall be determined by Management.

  • The following criteria will be used to determine the successful applicants: • Seniority • Ability to perform the work.

  • Ability to perform the work shall take into consideration the employee’s training, experience, skills, educational requirements (where appropriate), and specific licenses and certifications related to the job.

  • Ability to perform the work shall be determined under the criteria in subsection E.7 above.

  • Ability to perform the work within the vacancy shall be determined by an assessment of the applicants.

  • Upon the employee's return to the service of the Company, he/she shall be reinstated to his/her former position, or its equivalent, provided he/she has the Fitness and Ability to perform the work.
