Benefits During Leaves. Medical benefits provided to regular full-time Employees by this contract shall continue in effect during such Employee's authorized leave of absence, provided the Employee pays the premium cost of such coverage. Such Employee will also accrue time for vacation benefits.
Benefits During Leaves. Seniority shall continue to accumulate during approved leaves, except that such accumulation shall not exceed the amount of seniority the Employee had at the time leave was granted, or two (2) years, whichever occurs first. No other fringe benefits will be continued or granted during the term of the leave of absence.

Benefits During Leaves. Medical benefits provided to regular full-time Employees by this contract shall continue in effect during such Employee's authorized leave of absence, provided the Employee pays the premium cost of such coverage. As set forth in Article XVII(C)(3), Employees are not entitled to Short Term or Long Term Disability benefits if the disability occurs during an unpaid leave of absence. However, an Employee on unpaid leave whose return to work is prevented by a disability shall be eligible for Short Term or Long Term Disability benefits as of the date when the Employee would have otherwise returned to work, provided that all other requirements for coverage are satisfied. Employees will accrue service time for purposes of seniority rights and all benefit plans (e.g., vacation benefits, short term disability) during periods of authorized leave.
Benefits During Leaves. An employee on an approved leave with pay shall retain all benefits, but must make benefit contributions as normal. An employee on an approved leave without pay may continue participation in University insurance benefit plans provided the employee makes arrangements with Human Resources and that the employee pays the employee portion of the premiums.

For those employees who are eligible for Unemployment Insurance benefits during such a leave, the Board's Unemployment Benefit plan will provide equivalent of two (2)weeks approved benefits. During such leave, an employee continues to participate in the benefit plans. The Board will continue paying benefit premiums in with Article for employees who have been granted up to thirty-five (35) weeks of leave: Life insurance Extended Health Dental Seniority and experience continue to accrue during the leaves for up to thirty-five (35) weeks. Benefits During Leaves. Employees on Board-approved unpaid leaves of absence shall have the option to continue to receive District insurance coverage for the period of their leave upon reimbursement to the District. The employee shall deposit post -dated personal checks with the District for payment of the monthly premiums during the leave of absence.
