From the date of signing and for the duration of this Agreement, no employee organization, as defined i n Section of the Public Service Staff Relations Act, other than the Institute, shall be permitted to have membership dues and/or other monies deducted by the Employer from the pay of employees i n the bargaining unit. The amounts deducted i n accordance with clause shall be remitted to the Institute by xxxxxx within a reasonable period of time after deductions are made and shall be accompanied by particulars identifying each employee and the deductions made on his behalf. The Employer agrees to continue the past practice of making deductions for other purposes on the basis of the production of appropriate documentation. The Institute agrees to indemnify and save the Employer harmless against any claim or liability arising out of the application of this Article, except for any claim or liability arising out of an committed by the Employer, i n which case the liability shall be limited to the amount of the error. The Association will provide the Employer with a quarterly listing of training require- ments including the names of Association representatives who will be seeking to attend such courses. ELECTION OR APPOINTMENT TO ASSOCIATION POSITIONS The Employer will grant leave of absence without pay to an employee who is elected or appointed to a full-time position of the Association within one month after notice is given to the Employer of such election or appointment by the Association. The duration of such leave shall be for the period the employee holds such office.
