Leave of Absence With or Without Pay. A. An Administrator may apply for a leave of absence with or without pay. The leave shall be granted only by the Board of Education. The leave will be considered only upon a written application to the Superintendent of Schools setting forth the reasons for which the leave is sought. When an application for a leave is filed, the Superintendent of Schools will promptly submit a recommendation to the Board of Education approving or disapproving the application and setting forth:
Leave of Absence With or Without Pay. All Permanent Part-time Employees who have worked six (6) months, shall be entitled to the same Bereavement Leave, Maternity and Parental Leave, Adoption Leave and Jury-Witness Duty provisions to which Permanent Full-time Employees are entitled on a pro-rated basis, but if having opted for the percentage in lieu of all other benefits, shall not be paid such percentage when on unpaid leave of absence.

(Forfeiture of benefits by such employment shall not apply to an employee desiring to attend school on a full-time basis.) When an employee is exercising his right to Family and Medical leave, the Township shall comply with the laws of both the Federal and State of New Jersey, which may supercede the above.

The College may either reassign the employee to non-sensitive, interim duties at the employee’s regular rate of pay or place the employee on Leave of Absence With Pay for a limited period of time when (1) allegations of misconduct against the employee are related to the employee’s duties and responsibilities and require an internal investigation; or (2) the nature of the allegations warrants the removal of the employee from the work site.

If it is established that he/she is not physically qualified to perform the duties of his/her former position by reason of such service, he/she shall be reinstated in other work that he/she is able to perform at the nearest appropriate level of pay of his/her former class. An employee voluntarily or involuntarily seeking military leave without pay to attend service school shall be entitled to such leave during a period of active duty training. Military leaves of absence without pay shall be granted in compliance with the Veterans' Reemployment Rights Law, Title 38 USC Chapter 43. However, such reduction in salary will not be made for an FLSA- exempt employee to testify on temporary military leave except for full workweek increments where such leave causes an absence of one (1) or more full workweeks.

  • Parental Leave Without Pay (a) Where an employee has or will have the actual care and custody of a new-born child (including the new-born child of a common-law partner), the employee shall, upon request, be granted parental leave without pay for a single period of up to thirty-seven (37) consecutive weeks in the fifty-two (52) week period beginning on the day on which the child is born or the day on which the child comes into the employee’s care.

  • Sick Leave Without Pay Sick leave without pay shall be granted to an employee who does not qualify for sick leave with pay, or who is unable to return to work at the termination of the period for which sick leave with pay is granted.
