– Union Official Time Off. With prior approval of their immediate supervisor, representatives of the Union shall be allowed to arrange for qualified work replacements for the purpose of administering the business of the Union. – Union Official Time Off. A union official who is an employee in the bargaining unit (Shop Xxxxxxx or alternate) may be granted a forty-eight (48-) hour paid time off bank for bonafide training seminars or courses as endorsed by the union.

The City and Union recognize a shared interest in resolving issues which arise concerning administration of this labor agreement and the collective bargaining relationship as expeditiously as possible. Subject to prior approval of the employer, Union representatives shall be allowed to meet with employer representatives on paid time to perform such duties. Both the employer and Union will use reasonable judgment in the application of this section. With prior notice to the appropriate supervisor or his/her designee, Bargaining Unit employees shall be allowed to perform normal Union business in a manner and in areas of the Department that does not interfere with the operations of the Department during breaks.
– Union Official Time Off. A Union official who is an Employee in the bargaining unit shall be granted time off without loss of pay for meetings with the City concerning matters vital to the Employees in the bargaining unit; provided however, such activities shall not interfere with the normal functioning of the City and prior permission from the Employee’s department head or designee shall be obtained. The Union shall notify the City of any changes of Union officials.

  • Union Officials 1. The Union will notify the Company in writing of the election, appointment, or removal of Union shop xxxxxxx(s). The District Lodge will notify the Company in writing of the Committee members at that location.

  • Union Office Upon application by the Union, in writing, the Hospital will give reasonable consideration to a request for leave of absence, without pay, to an employee elected or appointed to full-time Union office. It is understood that not more than one (1) employee in the bargaining unit may be on such leave at the same time. Such leave, if granted, shall be for a period of one (1) calendar year (in the case of the Union President, two (2) calendar years) from the date of appointment unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of the parties. Seniority and service shall accumulate during such leave to the maximum provided, if any, under the provisions of the Collective Agreement. It will become the responsibility of the employee for full payment of any applicable benefits in which the employee is participating during such leave of absence.

  • Union Officers Employees hereafter elected or appointed to full­ time Union office shall be granted a leave of absence without loss of sen­ iority but without accumulating seniority during the period of the leave of absence.

  • Federation Leave A leave of absence for the president and a second position of the Federation shall be granted to any employee covered by this Agreement upon application by the Federation for the purpose of the employee serving as an officer of the Federation. The District shall continue to pay such employee(s) and provide benefits, with the exception of leave benefits, but will be reimbursed by the Federation for the cost of salary and fringe benefits. Upon return from such leaves, an employee shall proceed on the salary schedule as if s/he had been employed with the District each year of the leave. The Federation agrees to consider carefully each request for release time for Federation members. Although leaves for short terms without loss of pay may be granted upon approval by the Office of the Superintendent, the Federation shall reimburse the District for the cost of salaries and fringe benefits.

  • Holiday Leave Holiday leave provisions shall be as noted below:

  • Union Office Space The Employer will provide an office not less than twelve (12) square meters in size.

  • Sabbatical Leave The purpose of a sabbatical leave is to enhance professional development, support department/unit goals, and/or meet the instructional, service, or research priorities of the university.

  • Sabbatical Leaves 49. Members taking their first Sabbatical Leave after a probationary period at The University of Western Ontario shall receive 90.0% of their Base Salary; Members taking their second or subsequent Sabbatical Leave from The University of Western Ontario shall receive 85.0% of their Base Salary.

  • Political Leave Any employee who is a declared candidate for public office shall have the right to a leave of absence without pay for a reasonable period to campaign for the election. Such leave is subject to the conditions governing special leaves of absence without pay contained herein.

  • Trade Union Training Leave (a) Subject to all qualifications in this clause, an employee appointed or elected as an accredited representative of the union to which he/she belongs will, upon application in writing to the Enterprise, be granted up to 5 days leave with pay each calendar year non-cumulative to attend courses conducted or approved by the Union.
