TRANSFERS AND VACANCIES. 8.1 The Board and the Association agree that teachers be given consideration regarding their preference in assignment. All vacancies shall be filled based on program needs and qualifications.
TRANSFERS AND VACANCIES. 8.3.1 School Directors will, through the Superintendent’s Designee, announce and post all intra-school vacancies when they occur or become known. Teachers within that school will have five (5) school days from the date of posting in which to apply for the vacancy. If this vacancy is not filled by an intra-schoolteacher, then the vacancy will be posted as stated in Section 8.3.3.

TRANSFERS AND VACANCIES. In the event an employee does not bid, but is selected to be transferred, he may accept or reject the transfer. If he accepts, his seniority is treated in the same manner as though he had bid. If he rejects the transfer, he shall not be restricted from future bids under similar conditions. In the event that an employee is moved to another Department by reason of a departmental merger or consolidation of work, this shall not be considered a transfer, and the seniority rights of the individual involved shall then be determined by negotiation between the Company and the Local Union.
TRANSFERS AND VACANCIES. 7.5 CSEA will be notified regarding classified vacancies and – when applicable and available – will be allowed to have a classified employee serve on interview panels of classified positions.

The Board shall within ten (10) working days of a vacancy post a notice of such vacancy in the central kitchen and send notices to other schools for a period of five (5) working days, during which an employee may express her/his desire for such position by submitting a written request to the Food Service Director.
