Quality of Materials. In order to establish standards of quality, the Engineer has, in the detailed specifications, referred to certain products by name and catalog number. This procedure is not to be construed as eliminating from competition other products of equal or better quality by other manufacturers where fully suitable in design.

The Authority’s Engineer shall convey its approval to the Contractor within a period of21(twenty-one)daysofreceiptoftheQAPstatingthemodifications, if any,required, and the Contractor shall incorporate those in the QAP to the extent required for conforming with the provisions of this Clause11.2. (iii) The Contractor shall procure all documents, apparatus and instruments, fuel, consumables, water, electricity, labour, Materials, samples, and qualified personnel as are necessary for examining and testing the Project Assets and workmanship in accordance with the Quality AssurancePlan. It is the intent of these specifications that first class materials shall be used throughout the work, . and that they shall be incorporated in such a manner as to produce completed construction which is workmanlike and acceptable to the Superintending Engineer in every detail.
