Program Closure. In the event the Program is closed or there is a reduction in the total number of Residents in the Program, Hospital will use its best efforts to allow the Resident to complete the Program at Hospital. In the event that continuation of the Program is untenable by Hospital, Hospital will utilize its best efforts to transfer Resident to a comparable program.
Program Closure. In the event of a program closure, the University shall follow all Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) guidelines “regarding program closure/reduction” by making a reasonable effort to assist any affected residents in enrolling in another accredited residency or fellowship training program. The University will provide notice to the Union and affected resident consistent with the notification referenced in the ACGME guidelines.
Program Closure. In the event that the Employer chooses to close an entire program, the Employer will follow the requirements of the Federal WARN legislation (or subsequent state legislation), which provides a sixty (60)-day notice of closure or pay in lieu of notice.

Program Closure. In the event of a program termination, closure or transfer, or reduction in size of a residency program, whether temporary or permanent, UCLA will follow the ACGME guidelines and assist in placing affected Residents in other accredited residency programs. In such event, UCLA shall continue to pay the salaries of displaced Residents for the remainder of the residency year or until Residents are placed in other salaried and accredited residency programs at another facility. Should there be a program curtailment, UCLA will comply with the ACGME Withdrawal of Accreditation Policy.
Program Closure. In the event of a program termination, closure or transfer, or reduction in size of a residency program, whether temporary or permanent, UCSD will follow the ACGME guidelines and will assist affected House Staff with obtaining enrollment in other accredited programs.
Program Closure. The Sponsor, the Corps, and/or Ecology, acting independently or in concert, may terminate this Instrument within 60 days of written notification to the other Parties and to the IRT members. In the event that such termination action is commenced, the Sponsor is responsible for providing to the IRT reports detailing ILF credit and fee ledger balances, as well as status reports for all mitigation projects.

In the event that it becomes necessary for the Agency to permanently close a program, the following procedure will be used: 1st Employees will be offered open positions in their classification, current employment status or lower, within the county (or multi-county area, as applicable), and in order of seniority. However, the employee must be qualified and capable of performing the essential functions of the new position with or without reasonable accommodation, and meet the essential functions of the new position. 2nd Employees will be allowed to “bump” an employee with the lowest seniority, within the same county (or multi-county area, as applicable), in their classification, current employment status or lower, working on their same shift. However, the employee must be qualified and capable of performing the essential functions of the new position with or without reasonable accommodation, and meet the essential functions of the new position. 3rd If neither of the above options are available, the employee will be laid off. Any employees “bumped” out of their positions will be offered remaining open positions within the Agency. If no open positions exist, and the employee has no “bumping” options of their own, they will be laid off.
Program Closure. In the event of (1) the closure of a program or Centre by the Employer; or (2) a temporary program closure by other than the Employer (i.e., school closures, strike action), employees shall be transferred to available positions within the bargaining unit, providing they have the skill, knowledge, sensitivity, and training, to perform the work that is available. If there is no available position under (2) layoff shall apply. In the event that there is no available position employees affected in permanent closures may exercise their seniority to be retained in the Bargaining Unit using the following process: In consultation with the Senior Supervisor of the various centres the Director (using the criteria in 4.10) shall reassign the workforce such that it causes the least disturbance to program delivery, and notify the Union of the planned reassignment.
Program Closure. When programs are closed outside of the control of the Employer and there is no alternate worksite available, Employees not required to remain in the workplace will be provided time away from work without loss of pay based on her/his regularly scheduled shift(s) during the time of closure.
