Professional and Personal Leaves. It is recognized that a policy permitting leaves of absence without pay for professional objectives or for personal reasons (including illness or accident) may under certain circumstances be beneficial to both the individual and the University.

Professional and Personal Leaves. Leaves of absence without pay may be taken for purposes of professional development, personal convenience, completion of a terminal degree, or other personally or professionally beneficial purposes. The granting of unpaid leave is subject to the needs of the bargaining unit member's academic unit and requires the approval of both their immediate supervisor and their Xxxx. A Fellowship Leave is an unpaid leave for bargaining unit members who have received certain fellowships that support research and writing, advanced study, or travel-related scholarly or professional activities.
Professional and Personal Leaves. A. Accumulated sick leave shall accumulate to a total of ninety (90) days. Any teacher with a balance of over 90 accumulated sick days at the end of the current school year will receive $50 per day for each day over 90. These days will be paid out 30 days after the current school year is complete. All teachers must participate in sick day buyout.
Professional and Personal Leaves. At the beginning of each school year, each teacher will be credited with 3 professional days and 3 personal days to be used for the teacher's professional or personal business. Personal leave days may be used for professional business, but professional leave days may not be used as personal leave.
Professional and Personal Leaves. 1. Personal Leave - Three (3) personal leave days for personal business shall be granted during the contractual year upon request in writing to the superintendent at least twenty-four (24) hours before taking such leave (except in case of emergency). Such requests shall be made on a Personal Leave Form. Such leaves shall be without loss of compensation for such absence. Unused personal leave shall accumulate from year to year to a maximum of six. Those personal days, in excess of six, unused shall be added to the accumulated sick leave days on August 1 at the start of the school year in which they are accumulated. Use of personal leave by any one teacher shall not exceed six (6) days in any given school year.

  • Sexual and Personal Harassment The Employer shall provide and the Union and Employees shall support a workplace free from personal or sexual harassment and any other harassment based on the protected characteristics set out in Article 2.04. The Employer shall maintain a policy on workplace harassment.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.
