Leave for Medical and Dental Appointments. Employees shall be allowed paid leave of absence up to three (3) working days per fiscal year, in order to engage in personal preventative medical and dental care.
Leave for Medical and Dental Appointments. (a) Employees shall be allowed paid leave of absence, subject to Article 18.05, up to four (4) work days per annum in order to engage in personal preventive medical and dental care. Such leave will be debited against sick leave credits.

Leave for Medical and Dental Appointments. Instructional personnel shall be eligible to utilize sick leave for the purpose of medical and dental appointments. Such leave shall be deducted from accrued sick leave in half or full day units. Instructional personnel shall be permitted to leave school after student dismissal for the purpose of a medical or dental appointment a total of four times during the school year. Instructional personnel leaving school early under this provision shall not be required to utilize any portion of their sick leave or be required to make up the time lost.
Leave for Medical and Dental Appointments. Sick leave shall be granted for medical or dental appointments, which cannot be arranged outside of an employee's normal working hours. The employee shall notify his Supervisor of the time of the appointment as soon as the appointment is confirmed.

Only when this is not possible will appointments be allowed on City time, without loss of pay, to a maximum of three hours. Employees are expected to provide as much notice as possible and will not be obliged to make up the time spent away from work to keep the appointments.

Where absence for medical and dental appointments exceeds one-half (1/2) shift in any one (1) month, a deduction shall be made from accumulated sick leave. Except in the event of emergency treatment, all requests for leave of absence for medical or dental appointments shall be submitted at least five (5) working days in advance. Cases involving excessive use of medical or dental appointments may be referred to the Attendance Review Committee.

A member who is obliged to arrange a medical or dental appointment during working hours shall be allowed to meet such appointment on City time and without loss of pay, provided that they are not absent from work for a period longer than three (3) hours. Such member shall not be obliged to make up the time spent away from work to keep the appointment.
Leave for Medical and Dental Appointments. An Employee shall make every reasonable effort to schedule medical and dental appointments on non-work time. Should this not be possible, the Chief Librarian, or delegate, shall grant such unpaid time as necessary, or arrange such time through scheduling, or compensating time off, or shift exchange or shift rescheduling. The Employee may instead use accrued paid sick leave providing reasonable advance notice is given by the Employee to the Employer. An Employee shall make every reasonable effort to minimize time away.
