Leave for Medical and Dental Appointments. Instructional personnel shall be eligible to utilize sick leave for the purpose of medical and dental appointments. Such leave shall be deducted from accrued sick leave in half or full day units. Instructional personnel shall be permitted to leave school after student dismissal for the purpose of a medical or dental appointment a total of four times during the school year. Instructional personnel leaving school early under this provision shall not be required to utilize any portion of their sick leave or be required to make up the time lost.
