Leave for Medical and Dental Appointments. Classified personnel may be permitted to leave fifteen (15) minutes before the workday ends for the purpose of a medical appointment a total of four (4) times during the school year. Employees leaving school early under this policy shall not be required to make up the time lost. Classified personnel shall be eligible to utilize sick leave for the purpose of medical and/or dental examinations. Such leave shall be deducted from accrued sick leave in half or full day units. The Classified Unit and members of the bargaining unit shall indemnify and save the Board harmless against and from any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that may arise out of or by reason of action taken, or not taken by the Board for the purpose of complying with this request.
