Medical and Dental Appointments. An employee may attend a medical consultation, receive dental treatment or be absent because of sickness for less than one-half day without reduction of sick leave credits and/or pay.

Medical and Dental Appointments. (a) Where it is not possible to schedule medical and/or dental appointments outside regularly scheduled working hours, reasonable time off for medical and dental appointments for employees and for dependent children shall be permitted, but where any such absence exceeds one hour, the additional time off shall be charged to employees' sick leave credits.
Medical and Dental Appointments. With the permission of their supervisor, employees may be allowed an early departure from or late arrival at work to attend medical and dental appointments. Permission for such absences of no more than two (2) hours per occasion shall not be unreasonably withheld. Early consultation with supervisors on each occasion is required to permit supervisors to organize the workforce. It is understood that employees will attempt to schedule appointments wherever possible to minimally disrupt normal departmental work schedules.
Medical and Dental Appointments. (a) Employees shall be entitled to time off with pay for medical and dental appointments, but will make every effort to arrange them at the beginning or end of the working day. An employee shall advise his/her supervisor as soon as he/she is aware that such leave is required.
Medical and Dental Appointments. Employees shall make every effort to schedule medical and dental appointments outside working hours. Where this is not possible, appointments shall be made so as to minimize absence from work and disruption of the work day and the employee must notify their supervisor of such appointments at the earliest opportunity. All absences from work due to medical and dental appointments shall be recorded on a separate time code. It is understood, however, that all such absences shall be included for the purpose of reviewing an employee's record of absenteeism.
Medical and Dental Appointments a) Non-emergency medical and dental appointments that the employee can anticipate must be scheduled in such a way as to conflict as little as possible with the work of the employee's department. The employee shall be required to provide their supervisor with adequate notice of such an appointment. An Employee may request that their schedule be altered to minimize any absence from work. The Employer shall decide if the operation of the department can accommodate the request. Any absence from work shall be considered as unpaid leave.
Medical and Dental Appointments. Time off to attend medical, dental and eye appointments requires authorization by the Department Head in advance and shall be scheduled to least interfere with the Employee’s regular hours of work.
Medical and Dental Appointments. Deductions shall be made from sick leave entitlement for medical and dental appointments in accordance with Clause 23.7.
Medical and Dental Appointments. Except as provided in Article 9.4 in this Agreement, sick leave shall be used for doctor and dentist appointments for the employee or members of the employee's immediate family requiring the attendance of the employee. If the employee has used all of their sick leave, other accrued paid leave shall be used until exhausted. Employees shall make a reasonable effort to schedule these appointments to occur during off-duty hours. The Manager reserves the right to deny the request based on operational needs.
