Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest‌ When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the employee shall have the option of either an additional day's pay or a paid day off in lieu of the holiday. The lieu day shall be scheduled at a time mutually agreed between the Employer and the employee.

Holiday Falling on a Leave with Pay When a holiday falls within an employee’s period of leave with pay, that day shall constitute a holiday and not a day of leave.
Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest‌ When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu. Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest When a day designated as a holiday under Clause 16.01 coincides with an employee’s day of rest, the holiday shall be moved to the employee’s first working day following his day of rest.
Holiday Falling on a Sunday If one of the holidays listed above falls on a Sunday and the employee is not regularly scheduled to work that day, the employee's first regularly scheduled workday following the holiday shall be considered a holiday.

  • Working on a Holiday An employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of straight time plus time and one-half (1 1/2).

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Christmas Day Easter Tuesday shall be observed as a Public Holiday in lieu of Easter Saturday and any work performed on Easter Saturday shall be paid at ordinary Saturday penalty rates. Should Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day, Australia Day or ANZAC day fall on a weekend, the following Monday, or other day as agreed shall be taken in lieu.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Sunday Premium All hours worked by an Employee on Sunday, shall be paid for on the basis of one and one-half (1½) times the Employee’s Regular Rate of Pay. For the purpose of this Section, Sunday shall be deemed to be the twenty-four (24) hours beginning with the shift change hour nearest to 12:01 a.m.

  • Paid Holiday Bank Employees qualify in accordance with the collective agreement. The paid holidays are identified in the Collective Agreement. Credit to the paid holiday bank will occur on the date of the holiday. Drawing from the paid holiday bank will occur at an accelerated rate of 1.25 hours paid for every hour taken (i.e. 11.25 hours worked equals 14.05 hours paid; 7.5 hours worked equals 9.375 hours paid).
