The BOARD shall deduct FEDERATION dues or a representation fee from the paycheck of each teacher for whom the FEDERATION has, on file, a written authorization to do so, provided that the FEDERATION submits a copy of the signed consent form to the Payroll Department authorizing such payroll deduction.

Dues Deduction and Representation Fee. (A) The BOARD shall deduct FEDERATION dues/registration through payroll deduction for each employee whom the FEDERATION has a written authorization to do so, provided the FEDERATION certifies to the BOARD the name of each employee.
Dues Deduction and Representation Fee. The Employer agrees to deduct from the bi-weekly pay of each employee who furnishes a written authorization for such deduction in a form acceptable to the Employer, during each calendar month, the amount of monthly Union Dues. Dues shall be two (2) hours pay per month based on a 40 hour work week, or such other amount as may be certified to the Employer by the Union at least thirty (30) days prior to the month in which the deduction of Union Dues is to be made. Deduction of Union Dues and Representation Fees made pursuant hereto shall be remitted by the Employer to the Union, c/o Secretary-Treasurer, Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO, 000 Xxxxx Xxxxxx, X.X., Xxxxxxxxxx, D. C. 20001, by the tenth (10th) day of the month following the calendar month in which such deductions are made, together with a list of employees from whose pay such deductions were made. A copy of such list shall also be delivered to the local Union president. The Union shall indemnify, defend and save the Employer harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of any of the above deductions.

Each bargaining unit member shall, as a condition of employment, (1) on or before thirty (30) days from the date of commencement of duties or the effective date of this Agreement, whichever is later, join the Association, or (2) pay a legally permissible service fee to the Association, pursuant to the Association's "Policy Regarding Objections to Political-Ideological Expenditures" and the administrative procedures adopted pursuant to that policy. The service fee shall not exceed the amount of Association dues collected from Association members and shall be reduced by any amounts required by law. The bargaining unit member may authorize payroll deduction for such fee. In the event that the bargaining unit member shall not pay such service fee directly to the Association, or authorize payment through payroll deduction, the employer shall, pursuant to MCLA 408.477; MSA 17.277(7) and at the request of the Association, deduct the service fee from the bargaining unit member's wages and remit same to the Association. Payroll deductions made pursuant to this provision shall be made in equal amounts, as nearly as may be, from the paychecks of each bargaining unit member. Monies so deducted shall be remitted to the Association, or its designee, no later than thirty (30) days following deductions.

  • Representation Fee A. If any employee does not become a member of the Association during any membership year which is covered in whole or in part by this Agreement, said employee will be required to pay a representation fee to the Association for that membership year. The purpose of this fee will be to offset the employee's per capita cost of services rendered by the Association as majority representative.

  • Representation and costs It is hereby acknowledged by each of the parties hereto that the Company's Counsel acts solely for the Company, and, correspondingly, that the Subscriber has been required by each of the Company's Counsel and the Company to obtain independent legal advice with respect to the Subscriber's review and execution of this Agreement. Correspondingly, and even where, as a result of this Agreement, the consent of each party hereto to the role and capacity of the Company's Counsel and its principal owners and associates, as the case may be, is deemed to have been received, where any conflict or perceived conflict may arise, or be seen to arise, as a result of any such capacity or representation, each party hereto acknowledges and agrees to, once more, obtain independent legal advice in respect of any such conflict or perceived conflict and, consequent thereon, the Company's Counsel, together with any such principal owners or associates, as the case may be, shall be at liberty at any time to resign any such position if it or any party hereto is in any way affected or uncomfortable with any such capacity or representation. Each party to this Agreement will also bear and pay its own costs, legal and otherwise, in connection with its respective preparation, review and execution of this Agreement and, in particular, that the costs involved in the preparation of this Agreement, and all documentation necessarily incidental thereto, by the Company's Counsel, shall be at the cost of the Company.
