Court Attendance Leave. The Corporation shall grant leave of absence with continuation of seniority to an employee who serves as a juror or witness, or as the parent or guardian of a minor who has been compelled to attend court to serve as a witness in any court. The Corporation shall pay such an employee the difference between his normal earnings and the payment he receives for jury service or court witness, excluding payment for travelling, meals, or other expenses. The employee will present proof of service and the amount of pay received.

Upon compliance with the foregoing, the employee shall be paid the difference between what the employee received from the Court and the employee's regular pay for scheduled hours of work missed due to such attendance.

A maximum of three (3) days of leave shall be granted each year to any unit member who must appear as a witness in court under a valid order to appear, other than as a litigant, provided that the unit member’s presence is not required because of the connivance or misconduct of the unit member.
