Career Ladder Training Fund. The Employer agrees to contribute Thirty-Five Dollars ($35.00) per fiscal year, effective July 1, 2001, for each full-time equivalent employee to establish a Career Ladder Training Fund to be available for all members of the unit. The parties recognize the need to provide members of the bargaining unit with opportunities to advance to more responsible positions within the bargaining unit. Such funds may be utilized for unit members to pay for individual educational and training programs in order to improve working skills and knowledge beyond the normal requirements for the position presently held by such employee. Trust funded employees shall be fully eligible for participation in all training programs. A program must be given advanced approval and certified by the Career Ladder Training committee. Such committee will develop guidelines to review proposed programs and internal committee procedures during the initial year of this agreement. These funds may not be used to enhance salary rates or as a salary bonus. In addition to the programs above, a bargaining unit member may request reimbursement from or expenditure of such funds for any educational or training purpose, including, but not limited to travel, supplies, and equipment. The Employer will hold title to any materials and equipment purchased in whole or in part with such funds. All requests must indicate the specific purpose for the expenditure and no payment shall be made without all documentation required by University policies and procedures. Preference in such training will be given to programs, which benefit the University's implementation of new administrative systems. Any funds not expended prior to January 1, 2004 shall be placed into a Career Ladder Training account to be expended on programs, training seminars, and other such services as agreed upon by the labor-management committee for bargaining unit members. The parties agree that this provision in Section C shall be suspended for the duration of this agreement and acknowledge that the University shall have no obligation to seek funding under this agreement for the purposes of this section. The terms of this provision shall be effective only when there is an express agreement by the parties to provide the amount specified above or another amount which specifically describes the term of the contract for which the funds will be provided and such funds are specifically and identifiably requested of the legislature and such funds are appropriated or otherwise specifically provided. The parties agree and understand that no such funds have been requested, appropriated or otherwise provided since the contract covering the period July 1, 2007, to June 30, 2008, expired and no such funds are provided for in this collective bargaining agreement covering the period July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2017.

  • Driver Training A. All drivers are to be provided with appropriate training and refresher courses each year in the following areas as a minimum: * Proper use of equipment including communications equipment; * Defensive driving; * Emergency and accident procedures; * Identifying unusual passenger behavior; * Student harassment and bullying; * Conducting evacuation drills; * Sensitivity training in working with disabled persons; * Human relation skills in working with parents, school staff, etc; * General vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections; and * Map reading and city street coordinates. The Department of Business and Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program, upon request.

  • Training Sub-Type Code There are Sub-Type Categories for each of the three (3) different Training Type Codes. Select one (1) Sub-Type Category code that applies to the training type code you selected. (Select from the chart on pages 10-12.)

  • In-Training Employment 1. The Employer may designate specific positions, groups of positions, or all positions in a job classification or series as in-training. The Employer will document the training program, including a description and length of the program.

  • Employee Training and Discipline Contractor agrees to advise its personnel who have access to Medi-Cal PII of the confidentiality of the information, the safeguards required to protect the information, and the civil and criminal sanctions for non-compliance contained in applicable Federal and State laws. Contractor shall:

  • Apprenticeship and Training It is agreed that all Employers covered by this Agreement shall contribute a sum as listed in Schedule "A" herein for each compensable man-hour of Carpenters, including supervisory employees when covered by this Agreement.   • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.
