Apprenticeship Training. The enterprise agrees to work with the union to improve apprenticeship training and the number of apprentices in training.
Apprenticeship Training. The Employer agrees that before hiring an Apprentice, the Employer will contact the Apprenticeship Office to verify that the Apprentice is current with his or her Apprenticeship Training Requirements.
Apprenticeship Training. Section 1. The Apprenticeship and Training Program is an organized, written plan embodying the terms and conditions of employment and training, and supervision of one or more apprentices, designated as Apprenticeship Standards for Cement Xxxxxx Xxxxx #000 - Xxxx #000. There shall be a State Joint Apprenticeship Committee consisting of the “Board of Trustees” of the Agreement and Declaration of Trust. There shall be an Area Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, with equal representation from the Employers and the Union, and this Committee shall administer the apprenticeship and training programs for its Area. The “Duties of the Area Joint Apprenticeship Committee” is written in the Apprenticeship Standards. The Area Joint Apprenticeship Committee shall have full power to act on matters pertaining to the transferring of apprentice(s) from one job to another in order to provide diversity of training and work opportunities. One (1) apprentice shall be allowed each employer for the first journeyman cement xxxxx working on the job and one (1) additional apprentice to each three (3) additional journeyman cement masons working on the job. The ratio may be wavered by the local joint apprenticeship committee for a temporary period of time if the need arises. The State Board of Trustees Coordinator shall be notified as to the wavered ratio and the period of time it is to be in effect. All apprentices must attend all schooling and/or off-the-job training required by the relevant Area Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee. On any job where there are two (2) or more journeyman cement masons working, Local #692 - Area #821 reserves the right to place one (1) apprentice on such job. The Apprenticeship Standards may be registered with the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, Employment Training Administration, U.S. Department of Labor. Section 2. Apprenticeship Training. The length of the apprentice training will be determined by the NWT Apprenticeship, Trade and Occupations Certification Board, or the applicable board in another jurisdiction, and will vary depending upon the trade. The Employer may request that the Board reduce the normal period of training if it is satisfied that the apprentice has sufficient credits in the form of previous vocational training or a number of years of work experience in that trade.
Apprenticeship Training. Apprenticeship Training. It is mutually agreed that the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local No. 181, Apprenticeship and Training Trust, registered with the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, and the U.S. Department of Labor, is a part of this Agreement as is set forth herein. It is agreed that, effective July 1, 2018, and for the duration of the Agreement, each employer signatory to this Agreement, or facsimile thereof, will contribute to the Operating Engineers, Local No. 181 Apprenticeship and Training Fund seventy-five cents ($0.75) per hour for each hour worked or paid for on all employees covered by this Agreement. Each Employer shall send the contribution to the Fund monthly on or before the 10th of each month with any accounting of hours for which it compensated each employee during the preceding month. The pay rate of all Apprentices shall be for the proper period of training as determined by the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee and as stipulated in the Apprenticeship Agreement. The following schedule of 1,000 hour periods shall be the hourly rates of pay for Apprentices: First Period – 0 to 1,000 hours 60% Second Period – 1,001 to 1,999 hours 65% Third Period – 2,000 to 2,999 hours 70% Fourth Period – 3,000 to 3,999 hours 75% Fifth Period – 4,000 to 4,999 hours 80% Sixth Period – 5,000 to 6,000 hours 90% At no time will the Apprentice rate be more than the classification of the machine he is operating.
Apprenticeship Training. 37.5.1 The apprentice shall work towards achieving the qualification of a trade certificate in Sprinkler Fitting / Fire Protection or any subsequent equivalent certificate III in Services (Fire Protection). The apprentices shall do their course by block release.
37.5.2 Where an apprentice cannot reasonably be expected to travel to and from his/her residence each day during the period of Block Release Training, return travel between his/her usual place of residence and the city where the course is conducted will be arranged by the employer at no cost to the apprentice. The employer will also arrange suitable accommodation to be available at no cost to the apprentice.
Apprenticeship Training. The Company agrees to contribute fifteen cents ($.15) to the Alaska Joint Electrical Apprenticeship and Training Trust (“AJEA&TT”) per compensable hour for all employees in IBEW Journey and apprenticeable positions (Appendix V), except for hours worked by temporary employees described in Section 5.9.
Apprenticeship Training. The apprenticeship training will consist of approved training modules similar to NUS and Tampa Electric programs presently in use and will be supplemented by specific vendor training as determined by Management. The inclusion of additional training modules, or changes in the sequence of the training modules, to enhance the effectiveness of these programs shall be made by mutual agreement between Management and the Union. An Electrician Trainee shall progress to Sr. Electrician by successful completion of a five year program. An Electric Meter Repairer shall progress to Electric Meter and Relay Mechanic by successful completion of a four year program.
