Driver Training. A. All drivers are to be provided with appropriate training and refresher courses each year in the following areas as a minimum: * Proper use of equipment including communications equipment; * Defensive driving; * Emergency and accident procedures; * Identifying unusual passenger behavior; * Student harassment and bullying; * Conducting evacuation drills; * Sensitivity training in working with disabled persons; * Human relation skills in working with parents, school staff, etc; * General vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections; and * Map reading and city street coordinates. The Department of Business and Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program, upon request.

Driver Training. When requested, all County employees will participate in the County Driver's Training Program as a mandatory requirement of being an employee of the County.

Pupil Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program.
Driver Training. Regular and Special Needs drivers shall be compensated at their regular rate of pay for mandatory driver training provided by the District.

Driver Training. 16 (a) Develop and maintain an on-going driver training program for 17 ambulance personnel. The program, the number of instruction hours, and the system for integration into 18 ambulance operations (e.g., accident review boards, impact of accidents on employee performance 19 reviews and compensation, etc.) shall be submitted to OCEMS, initially and on an annual basis 20 thereafter. Training and skill proficiency is required at initial employment with annual training refresher 21 and skill confirmation.

Driver Training. The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) has established Nebraska Transit Driver Training Requirements (NTDTR) on the Nebraska Transit website. NDOT requires Contractors to participate in NTDTR as a condition for Contractor's receiving federal and State funding for transportation projects. Contractor's full, part time, substitute, and volunteer drivers of all vehicles funded under an applicable agreement must participate in NTDTR.
