Association Committee. 1. The Association Council shall be assisted in the performance of its duties by an Association Committee composed of representatives of the Members of the Council of the European Union and of the Commission of the European Communities, on the one hand, and representatives of the Government of Chile, on the other, normally at senior officials level.

These members shall be permitted to transact official Association business on the grounds and in the buildings of the Employer at all reasonable times, provided that this shall not interfere. with or interrupt normal college operations or the usual teaching or other duties of the faculty. The Association will furnish the Employer with the names of the said representatives and such changes therein as may occur from time to time. The Employer shall not be required to recognize or deal with any other than those so designated. A bargaining unit chair shall be entitled upon request to a reasonable amount of time to secure the presence of a Committee chair at any meeting requested by the Administration which the Administration recognizes will or may lead to disciplinary action against the bargaining unit chair. The foregoing need not be observed by the Administration in cases in which emergency action is appropriate

(a) There shall be a Hospital-Association Committee comprised of representatives of the Hospital, of shall be the Director of Nursing or designate and o f the Association, one of whom the Local President or her designate. number of representatives i s set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions and the membership or Committee may be expanded by mutual agreement. The Employer shall not be required to recognize or deal with any other than those so designated. Upon request, a bargaining unit member shall be entitled to three (3) working days to secure the presence of a Committee member at any meeting requested by the Administration which the Administration recognizes will or may lead to disciplinary action against the bargaining unit member. The foregoing need not be observed by the Administration in cases in which emergency action is appropriate. The three (3) working day period may be extended as a result of exigent circumstances.
Association Committee. This shall be composed of three (3) nurses one of whom may be a part-time nurse. The number of Hospital representatives on the shall not exceed the number of Association representatives.
