Reinstatement of Vacation Days. In the event an employee is qualified for compassionate leave, sick or injured prior to the commencement of his/her vacation, or on any other approved leave with pay during the employees' vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave. The vacation period so displaced shall be added to the vacation period if requested by the employee and it is mutually agreed by the employee and the Employer; but where the parties do not agree, it shall be reinstated for use at a later date.

Employees may return to work prior to the agreed upon termination date with the approval of the Appointing Authority. Employees returning from an unpaid leave of absence shall be returned at the same rate of pay the employee had been receiving at the time the leave of absence commenced plus any automatic adjustments that would have been made had the employee been continuously employed during the period of absence.   • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.
