Probationary and Casual Employees. Probationary and casual employees applying for posted positions shall be entitled to have their days of actual work for the Employer considered when evaluating their suitability for the position, although they have no seniority under this Article. After completion of the probationary period however, seniority shall be cumulative for the 24 month period immediately preceding the probationary period for the purpose of promotion.

  • Probationary Employees Employees with permanent status will not be separated from state service through a layoff action without first being offered positions they have the skills and abilities to perform within their current job classification within the layoff unit currently held by probationary employees. Probationary employees will be separated from employment before permanent employees.

  • Casual Employees A casual employee is one who is not regularly scheduled to work other than during periods that such employee shall relieve a regular full-time or regular part-time employee.
